My 25.5 coupe project

Thanks to all! I have everything plumbed on the car now, the front fenders are painted, front bumper is almost ready. I just got a few boxes from Late Model Restoration with weatherstrips and carpet. Made a few orders from Summit/Jegs today. I'm trying like hell to get this thing together! More pics soon...

Alright, finally uploaded a few more pics.

Here's the finished fan shroud. It was a Jegster kit for a Scirrocco style radiator. It was narrowed nearly 2 inches in the center to fit the Affco, and then a bunch of trimming to clear the -16 bungs. The breather tank on the right front frame is for the transmission vent.

I was running out of room with the dry sump tank, so I made a bracket to hang the radiator catch can in front of the side tank.

Here's a view of the finished trans cooler mount I added to the trans crossmember. It kept plumbing and weight to a minimum, and should be fine for my non-street driven turd.

I finished the parachute install too, and added a cable guide tube/bracket to the Team Z bumper mount.

A good friend of mine has engineered and developed his own data recorder system, and we'll be using my car as one of the test mules. The display will mount in the cluster, and can display 4 inputs at once(scroll through up to 16 inputs). It's pretty simple and aimed at the entry level range of data aquisition. I'll have to wait awhile to give an opinion, but it has worked in his personal race car for a season so far with no issues.

I also recieved my switch panel. I went with the Auto Rod Controls 12 circuit setup, and am pretty impressed with the quality and price so far. I almost purchased the 8 circuit, but this allows room for future growth.

That's it for now, it's been a busy weekend. More later this week!

Joe,
what did you use for the cage, spray bomb or gun? Thanks

Love the car, keep the updates rolling!

Ed

Thanks! I had originally bought a quart can of the Rustoleum silver "hammered" paint and brushed it on, but the appearance was not as uniform as I would have liked. I ended up using the same paint in rattle cans to go over the cage a second time, and I'm much happier with the results.
