My 25.5 coupe project

Joe - the car is absolutely badass!!! its funny at first thought that kind of money sounds crazy for a set of headers, but when you think of what a set of kooks junk cost, and the fact they don't ever fit worth a crap (and they have NO ground clearance)...The money he is looking for is a fair deal for something that actually fits.

Again, awesome job!

Thanks Steve! I couldn't use an off the shelf header anyway with the dry sump and midplate. If you get a set of mild steel headers coated you have quite a bit of cash tied up in them, and for another $500 I have a set that never needs coating and will not crack, and the fit is amazing! I need to remove them and try some polish, any recommendations for stainless?

yessir, those are def. a work of art..:bigthumb: jeff does some amazing work, plus he's very laid back and approachable. he had another project in process that was very bad-ass too.

I finished hanging the front clip, now it's starting to look like a car again! The front bumper is a fiberglass part from Schoneck composites. Thanks for the hookup on the clear headlights Hangemhigh Jim!

The hood was also from Schoneck, and was the windshield length 5" cowl. It mounts to Racecraft dzus rails on the fenders. I just could not see past the scoop, and I thought it looked rediculous. I ended up trimming the scoop back to the rear of the hood, with a slight angle. I also didn't want to have to lift it off after every pass, so I came up with the "hoop" mounted to the body cowl(I know, I need to grind down them ugly welds LOL!), and fabbed up a few hooks for the underside of the hood, attached with body panel adhesive. The hooks slide into the hoop, then thumbscrews lock it into place so it's still easily removable. I made a quick hood prop bracket for the front, and plan to make a 1/4" steel prop rod with carb linkage ball studs and quick release ends so it's easily removable but can't fall off. The hood is just about ready to send to paint, and it's the last piece I'll have to wait for now.

Thanks! It's getting close now, still need to finish wiring and a bunch of little trim work. I just got home from the doctor for my NHRA checkup, gotta' get the license renewed!

They are aftermarket replacements, and took a bit of work. I wish I'd used clean factory ones instead, but they turned out well.

That's what I'm thinking of doing... Keeping the factory fenders and making it a one peice instead of ordering a whole one peice front end...
