My 25.5 coupe project

Sorry for slackin' guys... I have been busy, really! Still working on wiring, just need to finish the dash harness basically so it's easily removable. I've been waiting on the shifter for 5 weeks from Precision Products, and it just showed up late yesterday! They had a problem with the anodizer getting them black handles, but Don came through and found a clear anodized handle he had done for a few prototype shifters years ago. It's looks killer, and I probably have the only one like it. My camera died weeks ago, but I promise I'll pick up another one and get a few updates posted! I've been out in the garage today, and finally got water in the motor so I could run it longer and top off the fluids. Only one leak I found, from my $15 Jegs radiator overflow tank where the lower threaded insert is installed (dammit...). Maybe I'll take some advice and move it to the trunk after all.

Just a few quick updates with a new camera LOL...

Here's a few shots of the complete engine bay. I plumbed in a second fuel regulator for the fogger system to be added later this summer. Sensors for logging oil pressure, fuel pressure, crankcase vacuum, and driveshaft speed are in. It's ready to run once I get the shifter installed and get the front end alignment done.

I plumed in a few mechanical gauges to the cowl, just so the dash is still removable to access wiring easily. There is oil pressure, water temp, and nitrous pressure. I saved the wiper arm hole to use as a location for the purge, which is a 6an bulkhead with a cut off 90 degree hose end just to look finished.
You can also see a 6an cap on the firewall behind the carb, which is the feed line from the bottles for the fogger. The purge solenoid is mounted on the inside of the firewall to help keep things clean.

The trunk is also complete. I may delete the left battery after I scale the car, but it is functional ballast at this point. You can see where I spilled fuel under the cell when filling it, and it turned the black paint grey... The trunk paint looks good but didn't hold up too well. At least I have the first spill out of the way now.

Here's the shifter FINALLY... I've been held up waiting for this, but it's a killer piece and I'm glad I waited now. Just need to install it this week so I can drive the car!

Joe that is absolutely badass!!! Very nice work. I like the shifter with the cleared handle too. Now get it running!!!

Thanks Steve! I was hoping to make NMRA, but it just isn't going to happen. Sooooo close, but still a bunch of little things left to do.

Thanks for the compliments! Work has been insane this week, but I have plans for major progress this weekend LOL... Keith, just leave the title in the car when you drop it off, it'll get done eventually!
