My 25.5 coupe project

I had a few hours after work today to play in the garage. I finished up the rear seat area(mounting trim panels, headliner mouldings, nitrous bottle mount, parachute cable).

I moved the car onto the lift to prepare for some weekend work. I need to remove the rear axle next, caulk a few seams under the car, and paint the bottom with some chassis black. The axle will probably get the silver hammer paint too, and I'll add a few mounts to anchor the rear disc brake lines and maybe tie down hoops.

Dave, the jack is from Greg Smith Equipment. I debated buying two, but the one has worked out fine since my hoist came with a seperate jack stand tray already. I use the sliding jack to lift one end of the car and set it on the jack stands, then slide it down to lift the other end of the car. The jack has multiple height safety catches and can support a car fine on it's own.

I took a few pictures after the axle was removed to show the wheel tub work performed when the quarters were stretched. There's not much of the original outer tub left, and everything was smoothed to allow easy removal of rubber buildup.

Here's few from tonight. I applied 3 coats of satin black to the underside over the last 2 nights, after caulking seams and trimming some excess sheetmetal/brackets.

Thanks- Team Z did the mini-tubs while doing the other chassis work. I had a friend do the metal work on the quarters after I got the car back from the chassis shop; the wheel wells have been opened up and the stock outer wheel tubs were modified to clear a 29.5X10.5W / 315 size tire.
