I just read that this kid has a face book page and on it he is throwing up gang signs. Can anyone confirm this? Look up Jonathon Belton. ( Possibly Jonathan Belton ) or Victoria Belton

Im not on facebook but did a search on the homepage....didnt bring up any John_whatever beltons that matched.

But lets again realize that MANY people use hand gestures in pictures on facebook....i'd be interested in seeing such pics though!:cheers:

It is the kid and it is under his name on facebook!

nmcgraw.....seriously do you think there is any reason that would justify the shooting....cause it seems like you are reaching and it is really starting to annoy me.

On another note our officers take juveniles to their parents at home all the time. I wonder if that will change. I guess he should have just arrested him at the scene for driving without a license and then you all could stop questioning what happened.

Hmmm.....whats annoying is the assumption that a cop can not be corrupt....but a kid can be. I clearly said

So i wonder if the situation is turned around, and the boy ends up dead, do questions not matter? Is it TERRIBLY sad that the cop is dead? Yes! Im not disagreeing with that and i dont think anyone else is. But it cant be denied that something doesnt seem "right" about how things went. There are some bad cops out there....some cops are wrong sometimes....and a FULL STORY can help explain why something happened. If that was your son i bet you would want to know exactly what happened. None of you would be so quick to throw the book at your own son. Have cops done shady things before? Yes. Have there been even younger murderers than this kid? Yes. Im not pointing the finger at anyone...im simply saying put all the evidence up and THEN judge. If you want to deny that than so be it, but thats not fair.

The fact that you say "it doesnt matter" to the question of what gun was he shot with is crazy. Im not looking for excuses for the kid, i just want all the facts. Just because its a cop who got killed doesnt mean you arent supposed to do, what you normally do in a murder case.



I did a search on facebook's homepage and that picture didnt pop up. So quit your yelling and just answer the simple question of what was used to search! LOL man its not rocket science....relax shelly!

Perhaps there was a third person involved, perhaps someone with a felony warrant who panicked and fired at the police officer. The officers gun could have been stolen posthumously.

Where are the eye witnesses? Who heard and who say what? Where was the police officers partner or backup unit? Was the officer shot with his own gun? There are still many unanswered questions..

I don't see why it matters anyway...Do gangs even exist anymore? You guys would make great defense attorneys. Fortunately only a small percent of people on the board and society buy into that shit. Thank god he's in custody because if he had it in him to shoot a Police Officer, he for sure has it in him to shoot your/my mom, dad, brother,sister,grandmother etc...And for all the people running with the question "why is he taking him home" it's common practice, it happens all the time, especially in Detroit. And Trunk is right, gangs are bigger than ever. Anybody that knows anything about Southwest Detroit knows this. Outside of Southwest, Joy Rd is big, 7 mile is really big and Puritan Ave is ruthless. I'm thinking that this shitbag prolly was a joy boy if he was going to Cody. Everybody deserves their day in court but I can assure you that since this is an ongoing murder investigation you guys wont hear all the "facts" you are hoping for to answer your "unanswered questions".
