2017 Lions football thread

I'll be honest, I didn't watch the game. But that's a great stat day against that def. And that rookie looked great in the clips I saw on deadspin....

It's a win that everyone had down as a loss ...

Go Lions. 😀

I hope somebody he a talk with him about holding onto the ball a little longer after the catch. The 45 yard bomb... he caught it, but he got up and threw it into the air as he was getting to his feet. I had Calvin "completing the process" flashbacks and thought "Now THAT would be SOL if that catch was overturned"

I was going through the "same old Lions" rant after the pick six. I found the Steelers game. When I checked back in to see how bad the LOLions were losing, I was pleasantly surprised to see them in the game. I checked back again later just in time to see a really pretty touchdown pass to this new rookie wideout. And some hustling, swarming defense. They really looked good!
Bottom line: ONE down. FIFTEEN to go. A W is a W. It gave them some validation and confidence. I had them at 7-9. I'll be very happy to eat crow if they do better than that.

I don't understand how the Calvin rule didn't reverse that catch either .... The fucking nfl never makes sense year to year.

Does going on the road on MNF and getting a win count as a big game?

Negative, because it looks like the Giants are garbage this year.

That being said, the team looks well rounded. Defense bailed out the offense numerous times early. Stafford wasn't great, but he didn't need to be. It was a team win for sure. I'd give him a solid B+ on his play.

And what the fuck got into Ebron? All of a sudden he looks like a decent TE! 8 targets with 7 catches, and a TD.

The real test will be next Sunday. Atlanta coming into The D fresh off a win over Green Bay. Definitely one of the biggest games the Lions have had in a long time. Hopefully they step up for it.

I am looking forward to the Atlanta game... best QB in the game vs Matt Ryan who is also very good

Glad to see them win overall and for prater not scoring any more points after that FG. My fantasy team survived a tight win. If prater kicked another FG I would have Been done Lol.

Now your just trolling.....
The Lions played a decent game against a subpar team, stop with the nonsense. ATL is the much better team. And Ryan is the better QB in the match, and not by a little.

Although I think the Lions are pretty damn good this season, they are going to have their hands full with Atlanta.

I watched the MNF game again last night, Bob Quinn is doing one hell of a job with the young talent. He has to given the over inflated contract he just gave Stafford.

The line on the ATL game only has them favored by 3 points. That's one hell of a compliment to the Lions. Let's see if they can win a big game against the cream of the NFL crop.

The Lions of the past would have choked the Monday Night game away. The Giants do not look like a good team. But even with all the holding calls by Greg Robinson, the Lions were in control the whole game. I'll admit I like the job Bob Quinn is doing. Obviously the Atlanta will be a better challenge.

I will say the team looks more in control, but we'll see how they play against Atlanta. they win and it'll be something to note. They lose and it will come down to how did they lose.
