Not at all. Like I said, I thought the guy was a bad fit the first time around.

Unless a no name coach can pull at least an 8 win season off the bat i dont see this ending well for Michigan.
Miles wasn't going to win 8 games next year. Hoke was one of Lloyd Carr's best recruiters until he took the Ball State job in 2005. Funny how the defense and recruiting started to slip after he left. Hoke would do fine. I was hoping Michigan would sign Miles. As a MSU fan, I worry about Hoke more long term than I did about the Hat.
Right, I agree Les wouldnt win 8, but his name would keep recruiting competitive even with an average season. I also agree Hoke is the best option thats left.
Nothing will save this recruiting class. Brandon let it become a joke. Even if Hoke was hired today, by the time he put a coaching staff together, it would be two weeks to signing day. Not enough time to get too many blue chips. He'll have a good start for next year though. But also be prepared...he runs a 3-3-5 defense at SDSU.
Brandon has screwed this up. Michigan football will be back to 3 years of no bowl games and a new coach search in 3 years.
Source close to the situation informs me that the Domino's plane has left Willow Run bound for John Wayne Airport in Orange County, CA. This source also confirmed that Mich AD Brandon was on board. Plane expected to land at 1755 Detroit time. Looks like Hoke's job.
friend of a friend posted this on FB... take it for what it's worth...
why would he fly to orange county? san diego has a airport and its 86 miles from sandiego to orange county
x2. I'd rather have Brady Hoke for sure.

I'm not jumping. Just pissed that the way this was handled is completely wrong. When the season ended he should have decided what he was doing. The bowl game and NOTHING to do with him keeping him. If he would have fired him then he would have had more time to have less affect on recruiting. I would have been happy if he would have waited and had a new coach lined up, but he didn't.
Hoke is in LA recruiting. Allegedly.
Some people are saying it's been a ruse from the start, that Hoke is the man Brandon wanted. He had to at least make the attempt at Harbaugh and talk to Miles for due diligence. Harbaugh wanted the NFL, no shame in losing him to the league. Miles, well he was never actually offered the job. And with both of those candidates, there's still lingering bad blood.
