Woodward

I'm about 2 stop signs and 8min from Milan Dragway, and I am still willing to drive all the way up to Woodward, etc to cruise around, meet new people, etc. You guys get something going and I'll be there. If I'm willing to make the trip a lot of you don't have any excuses:-)

I'm not sure about this year, but quite a few guys were meeting up at the Meijer at 8 and Woodward last year. It was a cool, low key spot.

Fags everywhere "racing" cobalts and neons and Hondas. Driving wreckless everywhere attracting nothing but negative attention. Woodward has been getting worse and worse every summer due to these people :(
If you guys think kids are worse today, then your memory is already gone. You just don't realize all the stupid shit you did when you were a kid, and your looking at your younger years through rose colored glasses. It was the same shit when I was a kid as it is today. Except back then were running around in Roadrunners, GTX's, z28's and the like. And doing all kinds of stupid stuff. All the old guys back then were running 55-57 chevy's and old street rods and such, and we didn't pay any mind to the old guys back then either.
We should get gratiot going again. I just moved back to roseville from florida so im real close.
I'm in Roseville, and unfortunately it's sad to say that Gratiot cruising is dead and gone.

I used to love cruising Gratiot. It was always packed out there. Could jump on 696 to make a pull or two and then holler at some high school hoes... Lol oh the memories..

Hell yea! I used to live out there on the weekends. Tons of money races. Fast cars everywhere. Then, just like what is happening on Woodward now. The fast cars drew attention to the posers and wanna bees who flooded Gratiot starting all kinds of problems. Forcing the cops hand and putting an end to it all.

Same here, up until my early 20's. Cruise Gratiot until about 10 or 11, then head down to the racing spots in Detroit, come home when the sun was coming up. Those were the days.

Do got to say I miss the old gratiot days was lots of good times up there, woodward is going down hill part of it is the exceedspeed dbags that pop up there

Gratiot was fun back in the summers 94. We had a blast. Getting girls to pull over by telling them that their tires are spinning. And they would. Lol. Good times

im old......LOL I remember cruising main street in Plymouth way back in 85-86. then it was Telegraph....... kids will always be kids... but I gotta say back then there was more of a "sleeper" mentality. Walk softly and carry a big stick was more the norm. 20 years ago things started to change. big radios, spinning rims and silly paint replaced big cams, silly amounts of nitrous and "90/10 shocks" its become more "HEY!!! LOOK AT ME!!! LOOK AT ME!!!!" versus "you dont need to know whats under the hood."

i don't even bother bringing my car down unless it's for the cruise. i'll ride down with friends, it's not worth the tickets and the hour+ drive back to lansing at 1am sucks.

There's still a few of us young guys that keep the sleeper mentality going. ;)
