Man I've got to collect on my steak dinner from Mark468, they are 21 over his prediction of less than 60 already. Hmmm double or nothing in the playoff's? :mmm:

Tigers keep up the pace, they won't be the last seed. Right now they are the last seed I believe but they are 5-6 games behind the Yankees who are the #1 seed and 3-4 games behind the Red Sox and I think tied with the Rangers.

magic number is 10 now.

Not that it will matter in the seeding, but the Tigers are only 3 back of Boston for the second best record in the AL. With Verlander, Scherzer and Fister, I like the rotation for the Playoffs. The only team with a better starting 3 is the Phillies.

Porcello as the 4th if needed is good too. When the kid is on point, he's on point.

Tigers sweep the Twins.....that's 9 wins and three straight series sweeps. They are absolutely on FIRE.

3 games against the White Sox. If there is a team I hate almost as much as the Yankees, it's the White Sox. I hope they sweep them one more time.

Fourth straight series sweep. We are finally starting to hear things in the national media about the Tigers in between Red Sox discussions.

Yanks lost last night so gap is 4. As long as we stay above Texas, we should have home field advantage.

The big picture is that the Tigers will play Boston or Tampa Bay. Beating the Yankees out will only matter if they get to the ALCS.

Now here's the question; If the Tigers and the Yankees tie for the best team record in the AL, what is the tie breaker? Is it the record against the other team? (Tigers are 4-3 against the Yankees). Or do they have a playoff game, or flip a coin?
