Official College Football 2015 Thread!

There's no need to come in here an argue with the U of M slappies, every year it's the same bs and it gets old
Kind of like a Spartan who can't spell. You're the epitome of a Fairweather fan. Like clockwork we can predict your appearance. Sparty wins or UM has a loss and there's smooth. Sparty has a loss and smooth is nowhere to be found. Enjoy your win sav-a-lot Sparty.

Congrats Tom....Your squad has had a great year.....

Just having UM/MSU/OSU in the same division seems odd, which leads on to Iowa being 12-0. If they played the three teams I mentioned, they'd be 10-2 at best. MSU should handle them pretty easily, imo.

About the only upside is that the team we saw this year will likely be the team we see next year. We will lose very few players. There will be some attrition by transfer (I see Green and Morris transferring as well as a few others), but losses to the NFL and lack of eligibility will be minimal. Harbaugh is bringing in a very large class, so he'll have to push some of the 5th year guys out, which unless they are top performers is completely acceptable. We'll see in the next 2 months what happens, but the only places I think we could improve:

Running Back - Smith just doesn't see holes and no one currently on the roster seems to be the go to back that we need. An incoming freshman could play for time right off the bat.
O-line - Better than before, but not as good as it should have been. We have another big class coming in so there could be some learning curves there.
QB - Going to have to replace Ruddock. The stable is full of stars, just don't know if they are ready yet. Rumor has it Taysom Hill is looking to transfer in. If he does and stays healthy he could be a huge get to give the other QB's more learning time. On the upside, unless Butt goes Pro, the receiving corp will be the same as this year. That's a pretty experienced group and should help no matter who is throwing the ball.
LineBackers - Running a 5-1-5 defense isn't an option. Our LB are horrible. There's not a lot coming in at those positions either. Thankfully our Dline will be mostly intact and better, and our CB and Safety's are experienced.

OSU will lose some key players, but hopefully the younger guys will step in and step up. It happens every year, so it should be business as usual. Expectations are so high at OSU, that while beating UM is a great feat, and always to be celebrated, it really doesn't take the sting out of the MSU loss. Yesterdays performance was that of a top four team, but too much inconsistency finally caught up with them the week before. A good year...yes. A great year...not really.

Richt out at Georgia.
Flood and anyone who ever set foot in the football administration office is out at Rutgers.
Been a crazy year for college coaching. Bama is going to lose both Kiffin and Smart I bet.

The Spartans had so many injuries that many young players gained valuable game experience. For as good as Tyler O'Conner looked during the Ohio State game, I think the starting QB will either be Damian Terry or Brian Laweirke. Basically, like Ohio State, I just expect MSU to reload.

Kiffen Might go, Kirby already knows where his next Job is he would just have to move one office over, I highly doubt he would leave, but Georgia would be the one program that could sway him

My predictions for this season.

vs. Utah: L
vs. Oregon State: W
vs. UNLV W
vs. BYU W
vs. MD W
vs. NW W
vs. MSU L
vs. Minn W
vs. Rutgers W
vs. Indiana W
vs PSU L
vs OSU L

Well, Michigan was 1 game better than I thought they would be, and I really thought my picks were being generous. In my opinion, the team over achieved this season. I think a year like this helps recruiting and speeds up Harbaugh's efforts to return this team to it's former glory. 2 seasons from now I fully expect Michigan to be competing for B1G titles again.

Oh like Ohio State can talk. MSU and OSU both on the road next year.

If you win the Big 10 title, you should be competing for a NC in my eyes, unless MSU, UM, and OSU all have really off years.

They also have Wisconsin at home and Iowa on the road. So 3 teams which were in the running for the playoff this year on the road.

OSU actually has a tough schedule for once.
At Oklahoma
At Wisconsin
At MSU

MSU took a page out of OSU's scheduling book this next year. Has one road test. At Notre Dame.
