Official College Football 2015 Thread!

Seriously, Alabama has one of the worst schedulers in the nation. They regularly get one decent out of conference game and throw their hands up and schedule high school teams for the remainder. They have USC (questionable if they will be any good), Kent State and Chattanooga Mocs. I wonder when the last time Alabama traveled north of the mason dixon line or west of the mississippi (LSU doesn't count) was.

I don't really count those neutral site games as anything. Go play Wisconsin, MSU, UM, OSU, Oregon, USC at their place. Stop with these neutral site crap games

it's only an 8 hour drive from Bryant stadium to dallas. So that's not travelling and it's definitely not dealing with a different climate.

I just looked. The only non-conference games Bama has traveled for were exclusively for neutral site games (Since 2008 since that's the last schedule listed on fbschedules.com). So for 8 years now Alabama has only traveled a max of 8 hours away from their home stadium for a non conference game. 6 of those 8 years have been neutral site games with the majority of them being in Atlanta which is a 3 hour road trip away. Alabama's scheduling is pathetic (even if you take out the fact that they don't travel).

MSU also plays Brigham Young in East Lansing. I would assume their starting quarterback will play in that game. We'll have Wisconsin and Northwestern at home and Illinois on the road. I wouldn't call MSU's schedule easy (except for Furman).

why would they? The best schools are in their backyards, when other conferences start winning championships on a regular basis they will travel, but when serious competition is a car trip away why bother

Which is why MSU told Alabama to stick it up their asses...

So why does Alabama get a home game? Alabama is afraid to play in a hostile environment. They can't blame the weather. Saban knows it doesn't snow in Michigan in September. Any team that plays Alabama in a neutral site game is a sucker.

Kirby smart to be named Georgia new head coach.

My wife and I were trying to find tickets. I don't really want to spend $200+ for nosebleed or end zone corner seats though.

Tickets are plentiful (StubHub, Vivid, CL), just depends on how much you want to open up your wallet. The hard part is finding a hotel that has an opening for Saturday night. We had to go west of Indy to get a room.
