My 70 Dodge Coronet twin turbo project

Got the right side wastegate mounted, the vent pipe made, just gotta weld it solid tomorrow. I'm almost out of argon though, so we'll see how far I get. Now I can cut the elbow off the header where the gate used to be. I'll start on building the left header soon, waiting on flanges.

looks like a much better WG location.. i was just looking through this for the first time and that was the first thing i looked at and would have changed.. should help get a much more accurate boost setting

Believe it or not, they actually worked fine where they were. I just didn't like the way it looked, and I was tired of people asking me if they worked. I'm sure they will be more efficient now though

I'm getting a little better at TIG welding too.

I had to crawl under the dash to measure my brake pedal ratio for my new master, and I hated these door bars, so I cut them out. I can't build the left header until I get the new master on Monday, so I'm kinda stalled out for now. I might bend up some new bars that are lower, but it's pretty low on my list of shit to do. I'll probably do the rear disc brake conversion and mount the rear sway bar this weekend.

Held up on the left header till next week, so I mocked up my "poor man's" rear disc brake conversion. Caliper brackets from Speedway Motors, crown vic front rotors, and calipers & pads from a mid 80's g-body. I gotta buzz down the bracket so more of the pad is on the rotor, but other than that it should work pretty good.

Hopefully I can get the brakes, new rear leaf springs and rear sway bar done over the weekend.

Not much going on. I got one side of the rear disc conversion done. I got my new master cylinder and made an adapter plate to mount it. Now I can start on the header. Hopefully I'll bang that out this weekend.

Got two tubes done yesterday. I had to move the turbo up to clear the power steering box, so the header is a bit taller too so I can fit my wastegate.

Heading out right now to try to get the other two done, or at least started

Got the header tacked together over the weekend. Just gotta weld it up.

I gotta build a heat shield for the master. I ran a cast iron one before and didn't have any problems, but now it's aluminum. Don't want it getting heat soaked.

I like the header wrap, it has a period racer look IMO.

How big were the old gates?? Did you sell'em?
sweet project
