Dug into the car tonight.
1. wired the water pump to a switch (looks like a race car inside)
2. wired the tachometer
3. re-routed the coolant lines that were wrong
The coolant reservoir is still not draining coolant, it's the highest point, and there's no coolant in the engine. Trying to figure out this is my next hurdle.
did you check the rotation of the water pumpHas all air been removed from the engine? Does the radiator have coolant in it?

The engine is only part of coolant system without coolant. All lines running to the front of the car and radiators are full.
Pump rotation does not matter. Even if you are spinning that pump backwards, it's still a centrifugal pump and will move water in the standard direction, just not efficiently. Not having any water in the pump will not allow the system to make any pressure or flow, which is why i suggested filling through the outlet hose or the heater hoses.did you check the rotation of the water pump
It's an electric, remote mounted pump.

cliffs: Porsche engineers are complete assholes.
Just filled the engine with 2 gallons of coolant, which topped off the system. Then turned the pump on and fluid started to flow out of one of the open hoses.
I don't know if I need more fluid or what to get coolant to come out the steam vent. Should I fill the engine from the steam vent?
How much pressure do water pumps usually flow? I thought that the flow would be much stronger than what I saw with the open hose.
New GM temp sensor installed and no more misfires!
old vs. new sensor
