LSx into Porsche. . . and I'm going to need some help

damn I love this build......I totally want to drive this when its done. Let me know when you are giving test drives!

for that hard to find to find throttle cable end peice have you checked a bike shop or even motorcycle shop? I swore a few years ago when I was trying to find a cable for a bike they had make your own line kit and they had ends like that...

I think your gonna have your " LS1 in a Porsche " done, a lot sooner than ill have my " SBF in a mustang " even started...lol.

Looks sweet dude.

Sorry about that slave cylinder. There's no easy way around that one.
I'm totally impressed with this whole concept, your innovation, and the execution. I know the issues will be resolved one-by-one and the end result will be really special. My hat's off to you sir.

I believe that if you run the PCM on switched power you're going to lose your fuel trims every time you turn the car off. On the stock setup it's probably not that big of a deal but with a non-stock air intake and exhaust you may find that it has to relearn things like idle every key cycle.

There is 1 or 2 wires that get power all the time for keep alive memory, all the others get either run only or run/start

Looks like I'm a day late and a dollar short on catching this thread! Awsome!!!

I've felt your pain........I did a 350 swap in my 911 about 15 years ago. Renegade Hybrids kit as well with a 930 Turbo trans, Turbo rear 1/4 flares, 11 inch rear wheels, Racaros... Started off with every intension of running FI, but due to lack of space I just ran out of patience and went with a carb. Actually fabricated a box style extension in the trunk lid to make the intake/filter fit too. Car ran great, just that EVERYTHING needed to be modified to work. Renagade was a huge help as well. The biggest downfall was the clutch & gas pedal arrangement for the early 911's. It really needed a hydraulic clutch upgrade to be perfect. With how light these cars are, they're easy to make go fast. 11's is a sinch on a stock engine.

Have you driven yours yet? Would love to come by and put my eyes on it if you're willing? Let me know....

It would be funny to take it to the dealership in Okemos and get their reaction when the engine cover went up.
