A buddy was just telling me about another buddies 5xx cubic inch big block Chevy today.. it's a 25k engine that can be matched or beat by a junkyard LS with a big turbo.
$25k or $2500? Which would you do? And same goes for anything Ford. You can spend your retirement fund going 10's or spend your vacation money going 9's or faster.

The better question to ask is why wouldn't you. For the cost it would take to upgrade your ford block to a 55mm cam core and 300CFM heads the LSx would have already been built and installed.
