Im a Ford guy but I do understand the idea of the LS. They are much easier and cheaper to build. HP and TQ aside..... The Chevy guys have it very easy if you want fast/cheap/easy/brand loyal when building a car
 
Shit, when I had my Coronet I kept turning the boost up hoping it would let go so I could LS swap it just to piss off the mopar guys.
 
It comes down to the chassis. Any engine can make power. Chevy doesnt offer anything worth putting their engines in.
 
But is it really a mustang if it has a Chevy motor in it? Why not just put it or leave it in a Camaro or Nova or Vega or any other Chevy. This makes me sad. Everything I learned about muscle cars and trash talking as a kid has been thrown Out the window. "Hey that Mustang sucks
Man, Chevy's are better. "Then he pops the hood open and whaattt? A bunch of coil packs? Now someone drop one of those LS motors in a '71 Nova. Now that would be cool.
 
There is one Ford I will give my blessing to install an LS motor in. Look up 71 Ford Trino $2,855 in walled lake on Craigslist. It is spelled Trino btw.

Go faster for paying less. Then when u blow the LS up you can hit up the local salvage yard, buy another cheap motor and be back in business!
 
I don't have brand allegiance, I am debating what engine I should put into a 65 fastback Mustang. Leaning towards a 302 with efi, but the Ls is In the back of my mind. Just convenient for me
 
^ more than a few times. At least one foxbody has been in the 7s with the 2JZ.

I've been debating putting an LS or 2JZ in my notch, when I can afford to do it right.

Ya if you only goto the noet races,, but if you goto the friday heads up race its mostly GM.. Samething with the nostalgia race a couple weeks ago..
