For your vehicle registration to show up in the system?

First night on Woodward with the car out, heading north I get rolled by a undercover/unmarked police car in Bloomfield. I know how these look and knew exactly what it was. I was doing absolutely nothing against the law, was even driving under the speed limit.

I see the car try to pull up in my blind spot, then it gets closer as to try and see who was driving. Saw who was driving and instantly pulled me over. I was driving behind Dan (turboAWD) so he saw the whole thing and waited for me at the Sunoco up the street.

I already have a slight attitude because I knew what he was doing and as he walks up to the door I don't give him my registration or anything right away because I wanted his excuse for pulling me over. I say "Yea? What's going on?" to which he replies "When did you renew your registration?". I reply "Today" his response "that's why it wasn't showing up in the system" I thought it was BS, but handed over my registration and liscense.

Ok, cool right? Nope, another cop pulls behind him and they start chatting, laughing etc for about 12 min....I'm like seriously?

I didn't get a ticket, which I shouldn't have anyway, but I guess I was just irritated that I got pulled over for something you can look at the plate/tab and see.
 
That's a bullshit excuse that bored, stupid cops use all the time. You got pulled over because of the color of your skin.
 
Joe can be Mexican or White. Depends on if he feels like working or telling others how to work.
 
I'm sure it doesn't update instantly....

Cops are going to pull you over on Woodward, why would you make a big deal of it?

Are you on crack? Why make a big deal over being pulled over for absolutely no reason at all? Maybe if it happened to you once in a while you'd make a big deal of it.
 
it takes 24-36 hours depending on what branch you used the smaller branches take longer call jesse jackson he will help you get paid

I'm mexican and have been pulled over by the township police here more than I can count.

He was on Woodward the week of the WDC, not just going to get some milk on some random Saturday morning.

Either way, he could have gotten pulled over because he was young, or because he fit the description of someone, or like the cop said, his registration didn't come back right. People want to rag on the cops for every single thing they do. You act like they pulled him out of the car and tazered him.

alot of cars have ALPR's now. all the police do is drive around and it scans plates. if anything(registration, warrants, no insurance) gets flagged an alarm goes off and they pull you over
