Maybe that the NEW tabs on the car match the plate? Maybe because I was out at 1:30 am and i actually renewed my registration at 4pm the prior day? Maybe that cops give BS excuses for pulling people over?

So lets say the cop just made it up that his Reg was invalid/expired. Whats the chance that that would happen to a guy who just had renewed it 9.5 hrs earlier. Thats an awful good guess on the cops part, since the computers update within nanoseconds.. Am I saying that it wasn't just an excuse to stop him? No. But it was a valid stop. It doesn't matter if you have the proper sticker on the plate or not, if they don't see it in the computer, they can and will stop you.

Why is everyone missing the part where the cop darted out of a side street and got right behind ME instead of Dan who was right in front of me and passed the cop first? THAT'S why i'm upset. When do I EVER complain about shit like this, Reiko?
 
I've been pulled over for the plate not matching the car when the dealer never transferred my old plate to my new car.

I've also been pulled over because someone, at some point, mistyped something. Some how they got someone with my same name, same city, but different vehicle (address etc as well). I was in a truck, but the registration came back to a van. Took a while to sort that out with the cop.

If he was in front of you, the cop couldn't have ran your buddies plate. Had you guys been switched around, he would have been pulled over I'm sure.

I think you're over-dramatizing how the cop shot out in front of you. Again, it was on Woodward, maybe he thought you guys were going to race or something?

1. It was 12 minutes? Did you time it? I bet it was shorter
2. Maybe it was the sergeant or something and the cop was explaining the stop
3. Like you have never fucked around for 5 minutes at your job

Is it still an aweful good guess if the cop says that same thing every single time he pulls someone over for no reason?

Maybe, maybe not. Did he also have 'expired' registration or was in violation of some other vehicle code? Cops can 'dart out' from time to time without knowing exactly who they're going to pull over yet. He just started running plates and the first one he ran came up expired. Just another way to look at it.

You're assuming he darted purposely behind you... Nobody knows that... Whether he did it or not is irrellevant... The point is the car didn't come back in the system and he flicked you...
