so i was just talking with a man i work with. and he was just asking when my birthday was..and i said tommorow..and he says "wait, your going to be 18 tommorow?"...and i said "shut up i know im a late bloomer leave me alone"

and he says with great confidence...

"oh s&!% nick! YOU BOUGHT YOUR CAR AS A MINOR! YOUR HOME FREE! YOUR GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK!"

so basically it is illegal for any given person/dealer/car lot to sell a car to a minor..if at anytime the car is unusable, the minor may return the car and get his money back.

when i bought the car i signed the title under my name. my dad didnt sign..no co signing what so ever

my coworker Kurt was saying he has a friends son buy a car at 16..drove it like crap for a year, and it broke down. the kid went to the dealer and said i want my money back this is a piece of crap, the dealer refused, so the kid took him to court. the kid showed proof he was a minor and he cancelled the contract he signed on the day he bought the car. every penny was returned to him, and the dealer was stuck with a broken down car...

so pray for me fellas
 
I hate to say it, but contact a lawyer. I'm not going to tell you I know the law, but you might have an out. Good luck :thumbsup:

Oh BTW when you turn 18 come see me and I'll find you a decent car :D
 
uh oh..but my dad was there when i bought the car..does that count as consent?

on that form it says "seller MAY comply by having a parent complete this form"
 
I now its a dicky thing but I used to do this all the time with the record companies when they had the 10 for a penny sale, get the stuff sorry im a minor
 
its simple call the dealer inform them you were a minor at the time of "purchase" and you want to return the car is the paperwork from them dated?
 
Bro get off MM and get calling a lawyer. I'm telling you the sooner you get this done the easier it will be to get your money back if you can. Trust me I'm the last person to say "call a lawyer", but this is what they are for.
