2016 Lions thread........discuss or discust?

Let this sink in.

Montana (4x) Super Bowl Champ
Brady (4x) Super Bowl Champ
Manning (2x) Super Bowl Champ
Roethlisberger (2x) Super Bowl Champ
Marino (1x) AFC Champ
Brees (1x) Super Bowl Champ
Young (3X) Super Bowl Champ
Favre (1x) Super Bowl Champ
Rodgers (1x) Super Bowl Champ
Stafford 0-2 in the post season

Really really let it sink in.

That's the stat I was looking for..... an elite quarterback has Super Bowl rings under his belt, not under his pillow.....

You guys are definitely not giving enough credit to the Lions for their astonishingly bad team building over the years. Saying Stafford hasn't won any playoff games would mean a lot more if he were QB of a franchise that hadn't persistently fucked up the team for 60 years.

The Lions defense has averaged 19th in the league over Stafford's career. Basically bottom 1/3 of the league in defense for 8 years now... there were three years where they were 12th, 12th and 8th... but other than that, it's been pretty much 25th or so.

The Lions... as a team, had 58 yards rushing. Really surprising Stafford wasn't able to get the passing game going with such strong run support to occupy the defense!!

So far in this thread... "dline" has told us that Houston has a rookie QB and the Rams play in St. Louis. He's obviously a student of the game

Stafford went 27-41, 240 yards, 1 TD and 0 INTs. So, that's what you guys get excited to chirp about? When he fails to have a superb game and only manages to have a good game? LOL.

"He was only pretty good today! He wasn't great! Trade him!"

thanks for letting me know that, nice to see someone in the thread knows what they are talking about

Not his fault. He's only responsible for wins, not losses.

I don't think that but can you really pin Sunday on him? He was under pressure all day and still had an "ok" game. The D was bad, the coaching was worse. The failure to challenge the obvious fumble. I was texting a buddy laughing at the Texans running on 3rd and 18 and we immediately run it on 2nd and 21. Then the onside kick that effectively ended the game. Caldwell obviously thought the D was so bad he didn't even give them a chance to get them a ball back besides a prayer. I think Caldwell is a nice guy but sometimes he makes some seriously inexplicable decisions.
