2016 Lions thread........discuss or discust?

LOL,"lack of ability" for the guy who's second in the entire NFL in completion percentage... despite his WRs having the most drops of any team. Yeah, that makes A LOT of sense. Please, seriously... think about what you are saying.

Right now....would you rather have Stafford or Rogers? Stafford or an injured Russell Wilson? Shit I'll even throw in Luck?....your completion percentage stat just went out the window. Because even u wouldn't pick Stafford.

I feel ashamed even throwing those names out there in a conversation involving Stafford....fuck that pudgy face sidearm fuck.

Do you watch football? Right now Stafford all day over Luck and Rodgers. Rodgers has been borderline terrible this year

Stafford makes $18 million a year, has a hot wife, plays a game for a living, is playing really good football right now...living the dream. Good for him. Guy stands in there, plays his ass off and takes hard hits without complaint. He's been significantly down on bad throws this year.

Lions are ok but schedule down the stretch is pretty rough.

Thats exactly my point. Stafford is in no way even on the same level as Rodgers. Stats are bullshit. If you would take Stafford over Rodgers EVER, you have issues.

:rant about the rules: After the catch yards shouldnt be included in QB stats. It never made sense to me why when a receiver catches a ball for 5 yards, cuts and is shifty, runs past a safety and corner, takes a hit, but doesnt go down, and makes his way into the endzone for 90 yards, the QB gets the stats too. :/end rant:

Stafford can throw a ball that might get caught, sure. Do you watch football? Do you see alot of those "dropped" passes? Nobody would be able to haul in those shitty behind and too far throws, but yeah, its the receivers fault. Fact: if Calvin was on a team with a quaility QB he wouldnt be retired. That dude was taking a beating every Sunday because of Staffuck.

 OK... you are retarded. That's probably the dumbest series of words I've read on this forum.

...go suck on Staffords ballsack since you have no argument...\
Anybody that chooses Satfford over Rodgers, EVER, is a moron.

I like how you conveniently avoided my list of high round draft picks and the failure that is inherent in the draft. If you substituted any of those guys for Stafford with the exception of Roethlisberger, maybe Ryan and pre-2015 Aaron Rodgers... the Lions are a worse team. So you have somewhere between one and three guys out of 50 who would be considered better than Stafford. Obviously you don't watch, probably just listen to bitchfest sports radio and regurgitate what you hear. Rodgers has been awful since the sixth week of last year. He missed an easy half dozen wide open throws this weekend and they weren't even close.

No argument? You mean other than statistics? You're the one bitching about intangibles like his face and his throwing style and using that as the basis for your argument. I'm using statistics to support mine.

-He has the third best QBR in the league right now
-He has the second best completion percentage despite his team having the most drops (obviously you don't understand stats because there is a difference between "drops" and "incompletions" and what you think are uncatchable balls are actually recorded as incompletions. Drops are drops. Actually pay attention to the game and you'd understand.)
-He's the fastest QB ever to 25,000 yards. Ever. Like ahead of Dan Marino.
-He's on track to break the all-time NFL records for yard and completions.

Yeah, I don't have anything to back up my argument that he's better than average/mediocre. Because those are really average/mediocre numbers, right?

You realize how dumb you sound when you say that a mediocre quarterback is ahead of EVERY other QB EVER to play in the NFL in terms of yard and completions? Please let that sink in. Your stance is that the guy with the best first 8 years... in the history of the game in 2 of the 3 main stats for QBs... is mediocre. If that's not delusional, I don't know what is.

Turn on ESPN right now.. they are talking about Aaron Rodgers right now and how he's playing the worst football of his career and has been for over a year.

Not starting to see any "light". Just calling it like it is. Last 15ish games Stafford has been better than Rodgers, the Lions better than GB. No denying that.

Over there course of their career, there is no comparison. Rodgers is infinitely better and I'd take him a million times over Stafford. One main reason, his playoff record.

It's a start. I'll take it as somebody at least willing to see the numbers and recognize what's happening instead of others who just stick their fingers in their ears and say "Stafford sucks, not listening not listening not listening"

Stafford walked into what was historically the worst team in NFL history and still consistently hampered by awful management/ownership that has failed to build around him as well as they could have. It's taking more time than it should, but that's not his fault.

And he's really done it with out a lot of help the last few games. The O line hasn't been good and losing Calvin didn't help matters. It seems like him and Cooter have a good rapport and compliment each other well.

That being said it's the LOLions and Stafford is the pinnacle of inconsistency, so I'm sure it will all come crashing down soon.

If you think Rogers could do what he does in Detroit... You need your head examined and a straight jacket...

Good old Jim Bob has been a gift. I think the Lions have 2 years with him before somebody makes him a head coach
