2013 College Football Megathread

At least on ESPN, Ohio State has jumper Alabama for #1 in their Way to Early Top 25. No MSU.

No Ohio State on the schedule either. Could be anywhere from 6-6 to 12-0. Completely depends on the offense.

God that ranking is as bad as what they are picking for Basketball next year.

Michigan is a mid 20's team
OSU is a mid teens team
Nebraska may be a little under ranked
Wisky and NW are probably slightly over ranked.

Louisville is a joke.
Georgia or SC will end up in the Championship game.

one of the few who realize the rankings dont mean shit till the BCS rankings come out

I would actually bet that a large portion of fans from all d1 teams ranked in the top 10 or so go around boasting about their pre season rankings, it's not just "arrogant Michigan fans". Fact is that a LOT of college football fans don't really know shit so they just go spouting off about their rankings if they are ranked relatively high.

But it's fun watching MOST (not all) Michigan fans go off the deep edge if MSU or Ohio State are ranked higher than them. Ryan and Justin's reactions are priceless...

I think the most outspoken fans from EVERY fan base are usually the most arrogant and often misrepresent the actual majority of their teams fans. I think these wild outspoken people who get all bent outta shape are usually the minority, but they just SEEM like the majority because they are the ones always talking loudest and most often.

I'm not aware of any Michigan fan who gets overly excited on this board about rankings. The big douf on this board is Swift with his predictions of three-pete 11 win seasons and how UM sucks blah blah blah.

I am a Michigan fan and frankly rankings don't mean much to me before anyone has played a single minute of conference football. The teams change drastically year to year so it is very hard to predict who will do what. There are those who are good at it but no one is perfect (if there is I would like to meet them so that I can start betting on college sports). Never the less I think that the BIG ten (12) will have several good teams in the comming year, and time will tell who ranks the best.

GO BLUE!!!!!!
