2013 College Football Megathread

I am a Michigan fan and frankly rankings don't mean much to me before anyone has played a single minute of conference football. The teams change drastically year to year so it is very hard to predict who will do what. There are those who are good at it but no one is perfect (if there is I would like to meet them so that I can start betting on college sports). Never the less I think that the BIG ten (12) will have several good teams in the comming year, and time will tell who ranks the best.

GO BLUE!!!!!!

Yeah there will for sure be a few good teams and a bunch of mediocre/bad teams. I'm just wondering how many 10, 11, and maybe 12 win teams there will be from the B1G, probably not many. I think OSU, MSU, Michigan, and maybe Nebraska and Wisconsin could win 9+ games this year. If anyone else did I would be pretty surprised.

Mom, I've decided to throw away that $200,000 free ride to a 4 year university so I can make thug rap music and smoke weed. I knew you'd be proud...

The B1G released their 2014 and 2015 schedules. For the first time ever, Michigan will make back-to-back trips to East Lansing. MSU gets to kick their ass in 2013 and 2014 at home. In 2014 MSU will also get OSU and Nebraska at home. The downside? At OSU, at Michigan and at Nebraska in 2015. MSU also plays Oregon in 2014 & 2015.

Sounds like MSU should hope to break .500 in league play going forward.

Jabrill Peppers verbally committed to Michigan this evening. Hopefully De'Shawn Hand will follow, that would be amazing for our program. Word is that Peppers is attempting to recruit Hand himself.

Awesome. I know recruiting means nothing till the talent comes on the field, but you can't get a class like this and not have success unless the coaches fail. And right now there's nothing to remotely think that the coaching is going to go down. Michigan is back on track and ready for the big time. If you look at the recruits interested in Michigan, there's currently 3 or 4 5*'s looking at them. You look at MSU and they have 1. MSU is going back to mediocrity. It's the big 2, little 12.

Yeah I don't pound my chest over recruiting "rankings" and whatnot, but it feels damn good to be getting highly regarded players with tons of talent.
I think we have a very good coaching staff that can really mold these amazingly gifted recruits into very good football players. I know it doesn't mean much until the talent translates to the games, but Hoke and the coaching staff have been doing a great job with recruiting the best players possible and it's always better to coach up players who already have tremendous talent.

Apparently Golston got caught cheating on a final. Props to ND for having a moral backbone. Something the SEC and Dantonio don't know exists.
