I hunted early doe all weekend and have been on 3 bow hunts so far this season. Haven't seen anything within range that's been worth shooting yet. :-/

My old man hit a six point but we couldnt find it. Looked like a high shot had fat and hair on the arrow. Other than that lots of doe and few small bucks. We dont shoot anything smaller than a six point.

Seen a nice 8 point with 3 Does Weds evening, I grunted him in to 53 yards, Thurs night seen a spike, 4 point and 2 Does

Seems they are starting to move again

What bow are you shooting ?

I use a Bear Anarchy for hunting about to sell it soon have my eye on one of the new Hoyt Spyder turbos soon as I shoot one. Going to a duel cam bow for hunting. My target bow is duel cam I like the feel better doubt i will own another single cam bow ever!


Hurricane messed up my 10 days was raining and windy as hell in the thumb. Deer where not moving much at all for me.

I only bow hunt so now its time to get ready for IBO next year and break out my Bowtech Specialist set up for open class.

I've taken 2 deer already this year.

Nice fat doe taken with a bow from 18' up in a tree stand in Imlay City on Sunday 11.4.12...

For size reference I'm a 5'10" 253lb meathead.
