My trip to Georgia sucked!!!!!

Matt, so sorry to hear that you got scammed. But you're on your game for sharing this with everybody possible!!
If a pro like you can get sucked in like this, it's a lesson for ALL.
I have a brother-in-law in Raleigh N.C. who knows his way around Mustangs. If one pops up in that part of the country, let me know.

I really wish I would have slowed my roll on this decision. I was just so fired up that I might have the opportunity to buy a "clean" '86 GT like my old car. I feel like a dumbass :shake:

It looked like a great car by the pics.....And.....you'd only be a dumbass if you'd have pissed away good money on a p.o.s....We all wax nostalgic for the good ole days...

Now, if I had a chance to buy another 11k, original Hemi-Cuda shell like the one I sold in 1980 for next to nothing, I'd jump all over that. That easily tops your faux pas...

Anybody care to speculate what that might be worth today??...:(

Just be glad you ended up walking away from it, you woulda regretted buying it every time you looked at it. at least you had a good road trip.

Matt,

Just so happens, you work with a guy that has a MINT '86 Mustang sitting in his garage.
It *might* have something very special under the hood, but you should talk to him and come out and take a look at it.
I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

It's going to be tough for me when i start looking for another 69 Elcamino. Was my first car and I want another one someday here. Sucks you wasted your time though. Im the same way I always try to take any pictures of any problems and always inform the buyer the best I can. Hate people that try to pull a fast one on somebody. I can tell you right now his horesepower claims are off. No way that car is putting more to the ground then my 93 with 4#lbs more boost and better heads. So I think you made the right choice when you walked away just sucks you wasted a weekend.

Wrong year, color interior and it's a race car, I'm looking for a driver....

You look like one too!

Don't... We are human and make mistakes... It's a lesson learned that you can chaulk up as a life journey....

At his age, how many more mistakes can he afford to learn?? :D

(I've missed Motown)

That sucks. I drove 12 hrs to look at a S10 in New York. Pics looked mint, talked to him on the phone and sent a deposit. Got there and the truck was a hot mess, a true POS. I got my deposit and drove back home. Bought my current truck off Ebay from a guy in Louisville, so I guess ya win some and lose some..

Was just talking to a friend of mine, His brother found a nice 67 camaro on a forum that was represented to be a 9/10 car etc etc, they drove drove down Easter weekend to Texas, about 30mins from the mexico boarder with a enclosed 32ft trailer. Only to find out the car was grossly misrepresented, they nearly beat the guy but got in the truck and decided to cool down over lunch. While at lunch they were looking for camaros in the area on the way back and found this one, and brought it home.
