Who is ready ?
I am, been shooting and getting fine tuned, Pick up some New Rage chisel tip 2 blade broad heads, Dead down wind (Spray and laundry detergent), New Full Season scent Lok suit for early bow season and I have the Vertigo scent Lok suit for late bow season, Been seeing a lot of deer glassing, 2 nice bucks that I am after, they look to be in the 120"-130" class, taking a friends son out for the early youth season in hopes to get him his first deer hunting a hardwoods that butts to a 40 acre bean field, Got one with his name on it, He is 11 yrs old and can shoot, Here is a short Video of the one he is after, Not huge but for a first buck he is nice, he is excited about it.....

Yea Iam ready dry summer has our place thinned out the boys are hanging out about a mile down the road.
Last few yrs have been good to US

Picked up a Savage 212 and a Nikon Buckhunter 3-9x40 scope, just sighted it in last weekend. Can't wait to drop some deer this year.

I been thinkin about getting that savage I have the h&r ultra slug it's just a heavy mofo to lug around.

I looked at the H&R but really liked the Accu-Trigger on the Savage. Gun shoots great and seems to really like the Hornady SST and Remington Accu-Tip slugs.

Try those hornadys a few times my old 870 with a rifled barrel use to be awesome with hornadys but then I started
Getting some 2 to 3 inch flyers. Go on michigansportsmen.com and read some of the reviews from guys.

Excited but the deer hurd in arenac county looks thin. Too many farm crop permits. Local farmer by our place shot 60 deer! I heard that ehd is spreading on the west side of the state hopefully it doesnt spread.

I just found out i've got a spot on the west side of the state that i can hunt this year. I've always wanted to get out there but never had anywhere to go or anyone to go with. Hopefully this years my first year out!

Last year was my first year bow hunting. I didn't think it would be a big deal but I havent found anything more exciting then when a big 8 point walked in front of me... I missed it though damn single pin slider I forgot to adjust it! I have no interest in gun hunting though just bow for me.

Got my hunting bow all setup and I've been shooting some 3d every weekend getting ready.

Bow is by far the best time out there. Not as many weekend warriors and the Deer are still in
There normal patterns. I just like being out there watching.

Yeah, I really want to bow hunt. I was in the military, so rifles just don't seem like as much of a challenge. Last time I shot a bow was probably in boy scouts or something. I'm tired of firearms and want the feel for what it was like before the advent of guns.

I shoot a HOYT Alpha max, 321 FPS IBO, Mine is at 292 FPS with a fully dressed hunting shaft shooting it through a chronograph, set @ 70 lbs, 28" draw

Compound bow for me crossbows are for people with handicaps or bad shoulders

I normally shoot a compound, but I bought a crossbow this year to extend my range. I picked up a PSE Tac 15i and it is bad to the bone. 400 ft per second. Im shooting 1/2 groups at 75 yards.
