Police in Grand Rapids, Mich., responded to a phone call last month regarding unusual behavior by former Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier, a Grand Rapids television station reported Thursday.
Forcier locked himself in the bedroom of a third-floor apartment and was hanging out the window, according to a police report obtained by WOOD-TV.
The station reported that police were called by a woman in the apartment building who was afraid Forcier might jump from the window, and officers were able to get Forcier to open the bedroom door.
According to the station, Forcier was taken to a hospital, and there was no arrest.
The station said some details were edited out of the Grand Rapids Police Department's report. Officers, citing medical privacy laws, would not provide any additional details to the station.
Forcier, who is from San Diego, started as a true freshman for the Wolverines in 2009, but he lost the No. 1 job last season to Denard Robinson. Forcier played sparingly during the regular season, was academically ineligible for Michigan's bowl game and then announced he was transferring.
Forcier signed an agreement in February to transfer to Miami. However, in mid-May, about three weeks after the incident in Grand Rapids, Forcier announced he would not attend Miami and was looking elsewhere.
