Police in Grand Rapids, Mich., responded to a phone call last month regarding unusual behavior by former Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier, a Grand Rapids television station reported Thursday.

Forcier locked himself in the bedroom of a third-floor apartment and was hanging out the window, according to a police report obtained by WOOD-TV.

The station reported that police were called by a woman in the apartment building who was afraid Forcier might jump from the window, and officers were able to get Forcier to open the bedroom door.

According to the station, Forcier was taken to a hospital, and there was no arrest.

The station said some details were edited out of the Grand Rapids Police Department's report. Officers, citing medical privacy laws, would not provide any additional details to the station.

Forcier, who is from San Diego, started as a true freshman for the Wolverines in 2009, but he lost the No. 1 job last season to Denard Robinson. Forcier played sparingly during the regular season, was academically ineligible for Michigan's bowl game and then announced he was transferring.

Forcier signed an agreement in February to transfer to Miami. However, in mid-May, about three weeks after the incident in Grand Rapids, Forcier announced he would not attend Miami and was looking elsewhere.

Hey, you NEED to be crazy to stand in the pocket behind that offensive line. I'm wondering if 'Shoes' makes it past the Notre Dame game...

another cheater gone lol whats up with all those coaches who think that one day they wont get caught lol i mean WTF how arrogant must they be. and this is a lot deeper than extra hours at practice, cant wait too see all the evidence of the NCAA investigation. Anyone who feels the need to cheat when they're coaching kids is a fucking moron.

Dude, they ALL cheat. They have to stay competitive, its the sad truth.

No, it's called being realistic in regards to major college sports. Stonum will play because Hoke needs him to play. Mike Martin could knock over 3 liquor stores while drunk and leading Ann Arbor police on a high speed chase and I don't know that he wouldn't be playing by the B1G opener.

All coaches, including Dantonio, Rodriquez and Hoke do background checks and try to see what the players are like. They ALL want choirboys. Especially if he can run a 4.40 40, bench press 400lbs and have a nasty streak on the football field. Some stay clean in college, and some don't. Some go to jail later in life. Some get their schools basketball records wiped out over a 4 year period. You don't know. And to think UM is immune is either extreme arrogance or very much wishful thinking.

Hate to say it but i have to agree with you, kids will be kids and coaches cant be with them 24-7 , so they will do stupid things, now its up to the coach on how to handle it, Dantonio was an idiot for letting that felon on the field period, now if Hoke every did something so stupid , I would call for his head as well.

Sorry Mark, but go back to what I said about Martin. If he really did what I wrote, Hoke would give him a second chance if he has anyway of getting him back on the field. Winston and Jenrette blew the second chance. They were thrown off the team. Those were the two main instigators in the dorm room fight. Two others who threw punches were either thrown off the team or quit. The others, including Chris Rucker didn't know where they were going. They were tagging along with their teammates. They didn't throw any punches. They paid a price for playing follow the leader. Yes, it was disappointing that Rucker had the DUI while under probation (no alcohol), and he served his time. And he did it during the season and missed 2 games. Stonum violated his probation in the spring and spent his 10 days in the slammer in June and missed no games. Hoke is giving Stonum A 3RD CHANCE. Where's the outrage? Oh, it's a Michigan player.

As for Tressel quiting, it still doesn't mean OSU is going to fall apart. Some of the better teams may tag OSU early in the season (Miami, MSU, and Nebraska), but a mediocre team isn't going to beat them. And it wouldn't surprise me if Urban Meyer gets the job in January if OSU finishes 8-4, they'll change coaches. It would be hard to 'fire' a coach who just went 10-2 or 11-1 or if they win the B1G Championship game.

well , i can only go by what happen, maybe Hoke would , we dont know , but if he did he would have to go..Im not a fan of giving sec chances, not everyone can play college ball , they new what they were going to do , knowing it was against the law and thought they were above the law and could of seriously hurt someone.. second chances are for kids who come late to practice or missed a meeting ,not thugs..And for the record Stonum should be kicked off the team. Meyer will not go to that mess, and who cares if he does, if they start losing he will just quite like he did at Florida.

Let's explain OSU verse a Florida, Texas or USC. OSU has no in-state competition for recruits in the state of Ohio. And no, UM or MSU is not really competition to OSU. UM and MSU get OSU scraps. Florida has to fight FSU and Miami and to a lesser extent, USF. Texas has to fight, though maybe not as much, A & M, Tech, TCU, SMU, Houston & Baylor. USC has to fight with UCLA, Cal and Stanford. If Meyer went to OSU, he'd clean house just like Tressel.

The 7 coaches on a short list as posted on ESPN (if I can remember these) in no specific order were...

Urban Meyer, Bo Pelini, Mark Dantonio, Gary Patterson (TCU), Gary Pinkle (Missouri), Mark Stoops (UF defensive cordinator), Jon Guden and Brady Hoke.

If I remember rigt, Urban Meyer said that he would go to OSU to coach, and thats where he wanted to go. I bet they take him. MSU and Dantonio are having too much fun with eachother - Dantonio led a great season for them last year and his players respect the hell out of him. He got them where he wanted them and groomed them well - I don't think he would give that up.

I agree. I don't think Dantonio would be that interested, especially if they win a B1G Championship this year. The big game this year just became the Nebraska game in Lincoln.

And why is that?

Michigan State Spartans (Big Ten Conference) (2007–present)
2007 Michigan State 7–6 3–5 T–7th L Champs Sports
2008 Michigan State 9–4 6–2 3rd L Capital One 24 24
2009 Michigan State 6–7 4–4 T–6th L Alamo
2010 Michigan State 11–2* 7–1*

when i think of great coaches i think of bo, woody ,meyer, stoops ,tressel ,,dantonio does not fit anywhere in that group.and sorry his record is not all that impressive, good yes, great no.Plus not one bowl win, and he got his ass kicked against Saban.

He started with a pretty terrible set of recruits IMO. He is FINALLY getting to use his recruits as seniors. You cannot build a championship team in your first season if you're starting with a turd. Also, how can Tressel be "one of the greats" when he turns a blind eye to obvious rule violations???
