The defense really needs to eliminate this big play bullshit though. That's not going to cut it against MSU/WIS/OSU

See, this is the way they SHOULD look against lower level schools. Like it or not, you have to beat up on the smaller teams to move up the polls.

Even terrible defenses don't typically give up 500 yards to one guy. I'm guessing at least one top 25 team played an opponent with a worse d than ND in week 2, and he outgained each one by himself.

1-2 UCLA, losing record with their current coach since he got there, that wasn't a pre-season game for Texas? Sure they beat Tech, but Tech isn't the same Tech anymore. Outside of Tech, Texas hasn't played anyone either.

It was nice that the other qbs came in and kept the offense rolling. They both were making good decisions. Gardner was really impressive. He had a TD bomb dropped one play, a 50+ yard pass called back on the next due to a personal foul, and then hit a long 3rd down pass the next play. Good to see, no matter who the opponent is. And BG has a TERRIBLE defense, even by MAC standards.
