Ugh, that was ridiculous... the defense played like poo! They did everything that they could to give that game away. Hopefully that was just a mental slip after a big win @ Notre Dame and they escaped with the win. Get focused and get busy winning more convincingly.

As the great Charles Barkley would say, that was just turrible, turrible turrible turrible.
This is not a top 25 team yet.

Is Lloyd Carr on the sidelines again? That was horrible d. Like said before I hope it's a week down after an emotional high.

Robinson cannot carry the team. The rest of the players need to step up.

This is the one game where someone did. Shaw was terrific.

I'm not worried about the offense. They had a couple of huge plays taken back due to penalties as well. Defense and special teams are horrible, not much of a surprise though.

yup, another convincing win over another ranked team........:shake:

well.....ya's can't play patsies forever. sounds like um's hot air baloon is ready to crash back to earth once the real season starts. enjoy it now slappies, it's an illusion, just like '09's fantasy 4-0 start was....... :awugh:

Now Jim, UMass was ranked #16...in FCS (1AA). So it's really not fair to say they didn't beat a ranked team. And look at UConn, they lost to two MAC schools and beat Texas Southern.

You've been hanging out with Swift too much as you obviously haven't looked at the facts before posting.

OSU vs Marshall - Not Ranked
OSU vs Miami - Ranked
OSU vs Ohio - Not Ranked
OSU vs EMU -Not Ranked
OSU vs Illinois - Not Ranked
OSU vs Indiana - Not Ranked
OSU vs Wisconsin - Ranked
OSU vs Purdue - Not Ranked
OSU vs Minn - Not Ranked
OSU vs PSU - Ranked
OSU vs IA - Ranked
OSU vs UM - Ranked

So out of 12 games, you play against 5 ranked teams. Let's compare that to UM's Patsie schedule:

UM vs UConn - Not Ranked
UM vs ND - Not Ranked
UM vs Umass - Not Ranked
UM vs BGSU - Not Ranked
UM vs Indiana - Not Ranked
UM vs MSU - Ranked
UM vs IA - Ranked
UM vs PSU - Ranked
UM vs Illinois - Not Ranked
UM vs Purdue - Not Ranked
UM vs Wisconsin - Ranked
UM vs OSU - Ranked

So out of 12 games, UM plays 5 Ranked teams.

So by your Ohioian logic UM plaiys a patsie schedule with 5 ranked teams on their schedule, but OSU plays a tough schedule with 5 ranked teams on their schedule. Explain to me again why people aren't supposed to question the educational standards of OSU and the state of Ohio entirely.

Ryan, the difference is that OSU will be favored in every game they play this year with the possible exception of the last game against Alabama. Not only will Michigan be the underdog in their 5 games, considering their secondary, they may not be favored against Indiana. What Jim was getting at is that UM has played nobody to earn a ranking or any of the chest pounding (and for the record, MSU hasn't either). OSU thumped Miami and has justified their ranking.

I guess ND being over rated, even when not ranked, worked in both UM and MSU's favor. How does one team get beat by an unranked team two weekends in a row and have the respective winning team jump into the top 25 both weeks?

I didn't watch the MSU/ND game intently, but that fake field goal(which was freaking awesome) bailed out Cousins. How the HELL does an experienced qb take a sack in that situation?

I think Kelly is getting too much respect. Maybe this was his reward for Cincy's season last year. I think the MSU ranking is also based on ONE call, that being the fake FG. MSU committed too many errors (11 penalties?), and Cousins' eractic play. MSU has the talent to play with anyone, but they definitely need to be more focused than what they've shown. Maybe that finish and Dantonio's heart attack will create a bit more urgency.

Michigan's offense looks great, but UM's defense is BAD. They have stopped no one. Rich Rod has his triggerman, but he needs some recruiting concentrated on the defense. I've seen a lot of talking heads blaming the DC, but other than one or two guys, the defense just has no talent. UM will have a lot of games decided by the idea of the first one to 40 wins. UM needs this game against Bowling Green because there is no guarantee they'll be any better than 2-6 in the Big Ten. Of course 2-6 will still get them a bowl game at 6-6 if they do win.
