With 11 conferences, including lame ones, how could you ever come up with a legitimate need for a 16 team college football playoff?

16 would be way too many teams, and way too many games.

I think a playoff of 8 teams would be plenty, but I'd even settle for 4.

Do it like this:

- Big Ten
- SEC
- Big 12
- Pac 10
- ACC
- Big East

+ @ at large remaining that have the best BCS ranking. That'd be 3 weeks of really kickass football, and a Boise St or TCU would have a legit shot of winning the champ game, and even if a BCS conference team didnt outright win their division they could still play for a championship. Ex. Michigan 2007.

Too many bowl games now. Make it a 16 team playoff and you have games for the entire month of Decemeber. That's 15 games and ALL of them important.

Big Ten, SEC, Big 12, Pac 12, ACC, Big East, MWC, WAC, C-USA and 7 at-large teams are left.

its going to end up with 4 "super conferences" sec,big10,big,12 and pac 10 and the rest of the teams the NC will come from those 64 schools basically ncaa division 1 will be 64 schools and the rest will plat for lower bowls

Should be an easy win, and my only concern is if it's not and if Robinson doesn't have some good numbers (relatively to how much he plays).

Not going to this one, my son had a game today but the just called it off due to weather. We will just watch it on tv.
