1979 mustang hatch rebuild

and the bottom side it was stored inside away from moister all winter this is what it looks like after I attempted to clean it
 
Dose anyone out there have a running 302 that would be interested in a partial trade for my short block? I would be willing to throw in a fresh set of e7te heads it's a low mileage marine 302 non roller stock displacement all I really want is a stock motor with a cam but something mild would be cool to I'd rather drive the car this summer then look at it cheaper the better please thanks

I do have a 302 shortblock from an explorer (no heads,intake,etc) if intersted. It's still in the truck.
 
Yes I would be interested and yeah I know it sucks I'm actully a pretty likable guy I'm everyones friend I just don't see why someone would do it the car is pretty well known in Waterford as my car it's depressing
 
actully have updates bought a new carb last night also bought a slightly used victor jr intake all i need now is my motor witch is in the works and fuel cell or a new gas tank whatever was in the tank rusted it pretty bad from what i can see from the filler neck also probibly going to have to replace fuel lines aswell will post pics soon the car should be out by mid june
 
yeah it really dose im nervous to put a rgular tank in it because of what people can do to it but at the same time a fuel cell seems a little extreme considering its going to be a 12 second player if im lucky
 
I used to have to break into them when I worked at murray's all it takes is a flat head and a hammer it's probably what I'm going to do but it still makes me nervous I don't make boat loads of money to do what I'm doing to the car every time someone gets pissed at me and it seems like that's how people get even in my area
 
Stock tank will be gone through I think I can salvage it the lines will be redone and routed so that my Holley pump won't have to be mounted all stupid in there old motor will probably come out this weekend I will post pics of progress I've made so far I was kinda embarrassed to post pics of the motor that's in it now because I did leave it open all winter and the bores where nice it would have been a nice purchase for someone looking for a stock bore rebuildable block oh well life goes on
 
Been working on the car alot lately bought some parts battery relocation kit new exhaust headers yada yada started bolting the h pipe on and ran into a problem the h pipe sits a good inch forward where my headers don't bolt in it's a 2 1/2 mandrel bent o/r h pipe it was split when I got it I beat it back together and thought it was good but apparently not it's for an 86 up but I was always under the understanding that the only difference is the double hump cross member witch my car has is the cross member bolted farther towards the back of the car in the later fox's?
