1979 mustang hatch rebuild

Now going in a different direction I discoverd team z's web site and saw there prices so I am buying a tubular k member and A arms from them double adjustable lower control arms along with there uppers with the relocation kit along with manual rack and electric water pump this turned into a let's get the car back on the road running again to a complete re build I'm looking for body parts aswell doors hatch and a real cowl hood if anyone has a set of 79 doors could you let me know I don't want to relocate my door handles.

I'm thinking im going to put a locking gas cap on it and call it a day if someone would do that to me again it would probibly be time to find a new hobby updated pics will be coming shortly

been buying parts like crazy and i finnaly got the car in the garage as of sunday im allowed to start really working on it then the build thread will really come alive i really started this thread a year early

Worked on the car today for a little bit took the power steering pump out removed all of the brackets for the hood and the latch. Took my old waterpump out in bolted the trans if I bring my cherry picker home tomorrow the motor will be out pics tomorrow

So the motor is ready to come out I just have to push the car outside to pull it and I don't really have time to do it tonight so I figured I'd try my hand at body work I figured the best place to start would be the engine compartment so I started by mixing the bondo I was going to fill in some of the seams and a couple small holes well I fucked up the mix on the bondo I have never done any sort of body work I have no clue what I'm doing any advise words of wisdom tips would be great I can't afford to get it done I'm not looking for a award winning car I just want it to look good is there a body work for dummy's?

The original plan was boost now it's a 302 with worked heads pretty big cam victor jr intake 750 cfm carb and little shot of nitrous I want to be somewhere I'm the 11's

After being really sick the past week I finally got out and worked on it a little bit today I'm at the point where the k member needs to come out to fix the one issue the car has my only problem is the car can't be non rolling for a long period of time I've already picked out my a arms and k member but what spring rate should the coil overs be it's a mild 302 with a little bit of spray but I'm building a turbo motor for it nothing really wicked I'm thinking mid to low tens on the turbo motor all I know is I want to lower it quite a bit any advice would be great thanks.

I try to get out and work on it a little bit every day I figured since I'm waiting on money mine as well play with the wiring the car never had a wiring issue but I'm attempting a wire tuck I pulled the passenger fender off to run wires and mount the solenoid inside the inner fender and a small module that was bolted right under the starter selenoid one good thing that I've discoverd is when the previous owner repainted it 20 years ago they undercoated all of the inner fender and inside the support up there it's very clean im going to try my hand with body work on the fender I'm deleting the antenna and there is a small pin hole in the bottom front I figure if I screw it up fenders go really cheapif any one wants to give out some advise and point me in the right direction I'll buy them beer lol

Why in the hell did for put so many holes in the engine compartment??? My 110 mig welder is getting a workout filling holes...

Took a break from the car for a couple of weeks but I stumbled on a really good deal now my car is actully going to be fast ish I have a deal pending in a 347 stroker minus heads. It is going to get some Vic jr. Heads and intake. I also bought a fuel cell and removed the stock gas tank today didn't relize it had a half tank that sucked considering I'm doing this build 100% by myself. I'm probably going to sand down the little bit of surface rust in the undercarriage back there and under coat it tomorrow and start mounting the cell up still not 100% sure if I want to mount it in the car or under it.

Well I traded my ex's engagement ring for a 347 stroker that is disassembled with bfn diamond pistons it's going to get a 613 lift solid roller cam Vic jr. Heads. Also picked up some long tube headers. So I pretty much have all of the parts I need minus k member a arms and coil overs let the fun begin..

A friend just emaild this one to me this was my senior year of highschool i was running a 15.46 all day long I would have won the class but I got nervous and redlighted for a stick car and an 17 year old kid I was happy.
