1979 mustang hatch rebuild

Picked up the k member last week I need to pick up my control arms and then i can finally yank my front end out of the car (car is in my dads garage and he wants it to be a rolling chassis) so once I get the stock k member out I can finish up the welding in the engine compartment and paint it and put the front end together with go fast parts. Also the car is coming out ugly next spring I figure there is no use having it out and pretty for the first year with tuning and dialing it in. If I was to swap a c4 in would I need a new driveshaft?

shit cell phone pic of the k member

So I've been working on it a couple of hours a night I've been doing a wire tuck and separating the engine harness from the light harness it's not as easy as I was hopeing it would be apparently I did it the wrong way but I like how it coming out you can't see the harness from the engine compartment or the inner fender I'm still waiting to pull the k member out till I get my coilovers so I can't finish the engine harness because I'm running it through the tubular one I'm still up in the air on how to fill holes either put a panel in in to cover all of them or indavidualy weld them... I'm not much of a welder so either way it's going to be tough.

This is the car as of last night I am starting with this side tonight it's going to be a little different because the brake lines are getting moved as well

K member came out today finally got over my fear of the stock coil springs now I'm going to weld up some bracing, re route the brake lines a couple more wires and paint the finally it can come down on the ground again. Then I'll most likely be done with the front end then on to beefier frame ties battle boxes then trunk floor.

Kind of stopped working on it for a bit but started collecting parts I picked up team z a arms I'm waiting to install them till I drill my spindles for the bump steer also bought a 8.8 with a 3.73 gear and picked a spool 31 spline axles and c clip eliminators.

Keep the pic's coming. Great project.
Thank you!! And I will my issue is I keep changeing my mind with what I want to do. In the drive train department I have a fresh 347 and I have a stock bore 302 I kinda got caught up in making it a drag car that can handle street duty but after talking to jameser I really want to convert it to efi and do a on3 turbo setup with my 302. Kind of going back to what I had originally planned on doing with it. As of lately I have been cleaning all of the sound proofing off of the floors a couple hours a night (what a bitch to do!!).
