ZO6 vs Ford GT?

I broke 4 half shafts and 3 trans shafts and blew up my rear diff 2 times and my trans 1 time. Now my pockets and ass are in deep pain. I will be getting rid of the Z06 this summer and unsure what to get next.

If you are heavily into modding cars (Which I am guessing you are), and from the choices you gave above, I would go with the Viper. It is light years BEHIND the Vet in comfort, but it is also light years AHEAD of the Vet in modding potential and not breaking..:icon_mrgr

The ONLY reason I did not get another Viper after the SRT-10 that I had was the comfort factor. Damn that car was a bitch. But if that doesn't concern you, then Viper all the way due to its modding potential (and it turns more heads than the Vet, if you are into that kinda thing)

Is much wheel hop with new Z's when launching them? Wheel hop can kill halfshafts.

Yes. When every run I had with the new Z06 from a launch consisted of sever wheel hop. Even my 11.5 sec run at Stanton was off to a bad start with much wheel hop. I was actually really worried right when I launched and thought the car was not gonna hold up after that launch and break on me. This is why I only ran once. I didn't want to risk it.

Why is it that automatics don't break?? our buddy's white c6 must have hundreds, upon hundreds of 11 second passes, and no breaky... Phil's vette goes 9s, has he broke any of these shafts??

I don't want to read through 50 pages of BS.

But this summer I ran into Hemi on Woodward past Birmingham. From there we went to a "Privately owned track and did not break any laws or partook any any illegal actions"
we went from a roll and I pulled away from him easily.
I slowed down, waited for him to catch up and then floored it again and slowly pulled away (He made accelerating momentum, I was decelerating at the time)

That was with my 5000lb farm truck.
What would the Z06 do to his truck... it' wouldn't be pretty.

the thing is trucks suffer from areodynamics at high speed, that is why it is best they race from a dead stop.

I raced alot of cars & trucks with my silverado ss, and did not fair too well off rolls, but those same cars and trucks did not fair too well off a dead stop, against the awd!!

:jagoff: I remember it a little differently, but your entitled to your opinion. I'll call you on for a re-match after I get my junk back together.

I wish I knew..:dontknow:

Very easy..

Autos are soft on the start, they dont shock the entire drivetrain.

Manuals do the oppsite, shock the hell out of it, so things break.

i also rolled next to hemi on telegraph and that thing is slow why is there even any discussion of hemi racing vettes and all this other it's obvious the outcome

It was faster than my truck, and my truck ran 12.70's so :icon_roll

Being Captain Saveahoe again?
I just used the smiley he seems so fond of in his thread. He got beat by a shitload of people racing, yet anytime someone says so, he has his little jackoff smile. If you don't think he can take a C6Z, stop sticking up for him in this thread. If you think he can take one, I will gladly tell you you are nuts too.
