Wait a second. You raced Hemichallenger in you beat him in your almost stock C5 Z?

Hemi-challenger, I am not dogging on your truck at all. Hell, I thought you were a great guy when I met you at the Novi meet. But if a pretty much stock C5 Z did indeed beat you, what makes you think you will beat a C6 Z06 from a roll?

Here is a video of me racing my old C5 Z06 that went 12.19@115 from a 40-140. Keep in mind that I am way out of my powerband and the video camera guy decided to zoom in on me 2x, robbing me out of car lenghts (I was about 10+ cars ahead at 140)..:icon_mrgr

We then raced again from my sweet spot (60), and the results were much worse than the results in the vid below.

Your video is what I would have expected


Not almost stock, completely stock.

Joe and I raced twice, first race joe was kind enought to give me the leave (you can see that on the video) second race I let joe get out on me and I ran him down and passed him pretty handlely(he hadn't lifted yet). There is no question he could not hang with my C5Z from a roll or a dead stop, at best he could say it was close either way a C5Z and a C6Z are not close.

I see. If that is the case, then I am sorry Joe, you will not stand a chance.

Look at the vid I posted and read the circumstances in which the race took place.

Ken, I know you are into road racing, and I really want to give it a shot. So whenever you have an even with that kind of nature that is open to the public, I'd like to give it a try and see how I like it. So, next time you are out and about to an event like give me a PM or a myspace comment brutha..:peelout:

The blue C5 was around when you raced the yellow z06 but he wasnt tuned so well that night..

Its lowered with xenon headlights that are too bright..

Does anyone want to play from a dead dig?

I do remember. Too bad I cant recall what was done to it, and I am not expecing anyone here to tell the truth, lol..:icon_mrgr

I think that Impala would run from a dig (but obviously not againt the TA, we all saw what that thing was all about)

The blue c5 has a blower, you cant hide the whistle..

Not the firebird, i have a Camaro that i just got done..i just want to play around.

Cool. I am sure comes spring time we will be meeting up sooner or later. We plan on being in Detroit more often this year.
