Winter Repair - 418" Turbo Mustang - E85

UPDATE: It seems that after measuring the Edelbrock Elbow.....it was too high to clear my hood. I sent back the tall elbow (3849) and exchanged for 3848 low profile Elbow.

The old TFS-R Intake was 11.5" tall overall....the edelbrock with the tall elbow was 13.25"....yikes.

The new low profile elbow comes in at 11.25.....so it gives me a bit of breathing room.
 
Nice, I didn't want to sound like a Debbie Downer but that elbow looked taller than my TFS-R with a spacer and I didn't clear with a 3" hood. I was curious how much the solid mounts drop the engine.

When I ordered the intake + elbow I only looked at the height of the elbow which was close to the upper on the TFS-R which cleared using the energy mounts. The lower on the edelbrock is much taller than the lower on the TFS intake.

Dont worry, all Debbie Downer comments are welcomed.
 
motor is ready to go back in. I need to have the intake milled to get correct port alignment. After that it can go in....which is the target for next week.

They are the old JBA headers that were on it before.

I just welded them up.

I love the new ford gray.....my first choice for engine paint.

FYI the 3848 elbow hits the fuel rail when turned sideways. I'm going to make a spacer and fuel pressure reg mount.

That reg. Mount looks familiar, I think I know where u got that idea!! Lol.

On a side not that c shaped hole in the table is from making egr delete plates about 8 years ago lol.
