Turbo Fox build..

Can you still run sequential while being TFI? This kit looks really tempting.

Basically yes. If you want to utilize the Holley Boost control you need to buy a couple solenoids, a 3 bar MAP if running boost. The kit comes with a 1 bar for N/A motors. I'm also going to be getting a couple 0-100psi transducers to log my oil and fuel pressure. I've never installed a standalone, so as far as removing the Engine harness and installing a new one like what comes with the Holley im not sure what else wont work. I know the factory tach wont work, but not sure of anything else. Seems like its a dark area because everyone I've asked hasn't given me a definitive answer.

550-606 is the part number for the Ford specific MPFI ECU and harness kit. Its the same main harness as the Univeral MPFI kit 550-604 but comes with the Ford specific injector harness. If you want to retain the TFI dizzy you also need an Ignition adaptor which Holley sells. I'm going to start with the TFI and see what kind of limitations it will have. I dont want to mess with a cam signal, crank trigger just yet.

Yes, it does run sequential when using the TFI. There is a thread over on the Holley forums specifically stating that it runs sequential with the TFI, I'll try and dig it up. Download the Holley software and play with it a bit, I'm sure you will really like it. It's very user friendly

I have a DVD that Steve Morris puts out on tuning the Holley systems. Crappy quality video but has some good information on the program.

Cool, thanks. I need to do something with my classic FAST since it's B2B with 120lbs injectors. I don't think I'm going to get the drive ability and MPG that I'm looking for.

It breaths. Still need to wrap things up and put the rest of the car together before its ready for a drive, but this should be enough motivation to get it done

Yeah I cant wait to get it on the road. I should be able to get it off the stands this week sometime. Gonna just run it off of gate pressure until I get more comfortable with the Holley EFI.

Its a Holley HP processor, but the software is the same. Dominator just has added features for trans control and alot more user defined inputs/outputs that arent necessary unless you really need/want them
Thanks, I was looking into the holley systems and they were pushing me towards the dominator for some reason,,, Im running a powerglide on a very similar engine combo and have zero need for trans control

The nice part is, that if you end up wanting those additional features down the road, the HP and Dominator work with the same harness.

Well, it ran a 9.97 letting off and getting on the brakes at the 1/8 mile. A roll cage is going in this winter so I can run it out the back door.
