The Z06 is sold!! What to get next??

Ford GT, don't care about anything else, if you have the money get it, and if you want a topless car get the GTx1

Thanks guys for all of your opinion. I have pretty much came to a conclusion and that is to wait until next summer and think about it since this is not an easy decision for me. I do appreciate all the comments and I can't wait to be in either one of these cars next year.

If you like racing that much, why not pay someone or build something yourself for $125K? $125K will get you A LOT and then you can build, literally, what ever you could imagine...take a look at Jay Leno's garage, why not compete with something he's got??

IMHO, if I had that much to spend I sure in the hell would not pay sticker for any car no matter what it may be. When depreciation hits, you're throwing money down the drain, and when the car is in the 6 figures you're tossing money that you could spend on something that is more on-of-a-kind than a low production exotic sports car.

Why buy something that someone else can buy when you can build something that only YOU can buy.

That's what I am saying! In fact already said it once. FADI, seriously for that kind of money you could have an Ultima with a LS7 (or better depending upon when the next ones come out). 2100lbs, 500+hp sticks to the road like glue. You will own in a straight line or in the curves. And I know a builder or could help you as I have been researching these for 2-3 years now. Just waiting for my investments to pay off and I will have one on order for me.

Wait, you have to build them yourself? Can you just buy a completed GTR? I had never heard of one until I saw it in your sig awhile ago.

anyway..

You can either buy the kit and build it yourself or buy a roller from the factory (both need engine and trans). Personally I would do the kit so I can customize the interior and some other electronics as the factory set-up is very basic (but works well). And my goal would to be a more user friendly daily driveable vehicle. The kit is around $42k and the completed roller is around $89k. Figure another $10-25k for engine and trans (depending upon what you end up getting) and you have one kick-ass street, strip, track car.

Jeff Schwartz in Illinois has that yellow one. He won tons of events on Hot Rod Power Tour and other racing events on his previous LS6 engine in years past. Last year he changed to a twin turbo'd LS2 and won the Silverstate Classic 0-200-0 challenge. That car was a beast with the LS6. I have not had the chance to ride in it since the LS2. It's gotta be insane. I have never felt g-forces in a car like in those. It is absolutely amazing the grip those have to the road.

I just watched a few vids. The in car vid of the 0-100-0 is badass. Hard to believe it hit 100 that quick, then hit 0 that fast. lmao!

Are they all Right Hand Drive?

I'm assuming if you build it yourself, you can do whatever the hell you want

Only the ones in England and other RHD countries.

Correct wiseass. They are LHD on this side of the pond. The kit is universal so it can be made for either option.

I want the blue or white one on their site. Those cars are AWESOME!

Yes they are, which is why I will have one someday. If you want to read up more on them I can send you tons of links. I have forums and buildsites bookmarked. I have read everything I can get my hands on regarding them. And I attended the USA gathering the past 2 years in a row. Now sure if one is happening this year. But I am happy to report there will be an Ultima at the brake shop lot for Woodward. Ed is getting into town on Wednesday and will be cruising with us and parking at the brake shop lot too. So there will be a Red Ultima around next week for your viewing pleasure.
