Schwartz 1964 Chevelle Chassis Final Fix

Finally finished with the engine compartment. I tried to hide all of the wiring. I am about 98% finished with the entire car, too - I went to install the door weather stripping and the body shop didn't quite paint enough under the drip rail. So, I scraped, sanded and primed where the weather stripping goes. I will go to the body shop and pick up a little paint to finish it, then I can put the last 2 pieces of weather stripping on. After that, all I need to do is install the seats and the car should be ready to drive...

Here are a couple of pics of the finished engine compartment...The last pic is the Hydro-Boost and my dual master cylinder set-up.

Finally back on the ground. I think all I need to do is put in the seats and do something with the speedo cable, e brake and license plate lights. Difference this time is nearly everything is hooked up permanently...

Trunk has been completed and only one more seat and seat belts to go…….I had it running and ran it thru the gears. So, the new clutch, transmission and all the rest of the stuff is sort of working. Disconnected the battery and the engine kept running, so the alternator is working…Haven’t driven it yet…

What did you coat the trunk with? I need to freshen my Mustang's trunk up.

I bought the actual correct Zolatone splatter paint and it didn't splatter very much. The reason I bought it is because you didn't need to clear it afterwards. Well, it didn't look right, so I just bought 2 cans of Duplicolor and redid it and it came out better. I then shot a nearly flat clear over it to protect it...

Final glitch was the power steering and hydroboost weren't working and got those all taken care of. Clay barred, rubbed the car out and waxed it and only a few more very small items left.

Looking awesome Gary! I hope you get the brakes figured out and drive it in one day. Can't wait to see it.

Squaring and Setting up the rear end with my laser thingy…Waiting for a friend to bring back my scales so I can set the corner weights….Then onto the front end and re-do the bump-steer..
