I've got a Crew Cab and the bed is surprisingly big. The bed length on my 2018 extended cab was 6'6". This one is 5' 8", not terrible.
The turbo 2.7L 4 banger how ever.... yikes.
The 5'8" bed can't even fit 8' dimensional lumber in diagonally. For 8' sheet products you might as well bring a trailer because it's probably easier than trying to figure out a way to fasten in whatever you want to keep in the bed of the truck. Anything 10' or longer just forget about it.
The crew cab with the 6'6" box is a bit unwieldy to drive. The rear tires don't track anywhere near where the front ones did (the ever growing ECSB CCShortB wheelbase is 147 and the CCStandardB is 157). It doesn't fit in parking garage spaces and you might as well forget about parallel parking anywhere. At that point you might as well get a crew cab long box because if you're going to park in two ZIP codes you might as well have a bed that is useful.
