RAM TRX unveiled 702hp

As for FCA putting the Hellcat engine in everything, well if GM put the LS9 and current LT5 engines in more things, I think they would be in better shape and the Camaro would not be on life support. Shit with the Camaro and the LS9, they could have beat the Hellcat to the punch. More shame on GM!
Don't get me started! It's even worse when you see this not happen when you are close to it! I thought GM scored last year when they released an stripped SS model - they took a base LT car and put the LT1 into it. I don't see why they couldn't put the LT4 into a base SS. I think that would SELL! Right now you have to have a ZL1 to get the LT4 and you have to pay for the mag ride and all the other bells an whistles.

Willing to bet LOTS of people would pay the $13K just for the V8 blower noise. Plus the 4x4 locked 4500RPM launch mode on the TRX is SWEET on the street.

Personally at 70k possibly I'd consider one.. At 90k it's a big no for me.. The wife and I both drive newer Escalades but I can't see me sidestepping into this in a similar price point to get a "non-base" model. I love the HP #'S on this, just wish it was more attainable for most people.

Truck hunting is going to be a thing for next year for sure. The big black Dmax won't die no matter how much I've tried to mess up the Allison and we're coming to the end of the Diesel era soon.

The trouble is, the three motor GMC Hummer is going to be some fun. Go hunting for a Cyber truck to chain up to and drag it down the street. :) The mods of the future, batteries, motors, and big cable wiring. lol

12? There were talks of that platform when I worked there and it was still called DaimlerChrysler in 1999. But I agree, if you are going to be a one trick pony, just make sure it is a trick that everyone loves! And they do!

You are correct. I should have said 12 model years. First model year was '08 for the challengers.

I think you'll be able to get a base model (with is still really nice) for $65K or so after the craze dies down, just like the hellcats and every other SRT dodge makes. To me this is a great deal for what you get and i'll honestly be looking to snag one for my wife.

I'll be ready to pick up a Bronco Raptor model by that point :-)

Why would they change if it's still working? When people stop wanting them, FCA will make something new, but America always has loved overpowered cars that go straight fast.

Because of $199 leases and every gangbanger in the hood will have one

Along with an affordable price.

SCSB (which is not even an option anymore) Silverado with the 6.2 in 2WD and factory 20's.:wank:

The F-150 tremor was the last truck that even came close to a sport truck.

That was a parts bin truck but it was cool. You can still get an F150 regular cab but it has the 6 1/2' bed with a V8. It would be nice to see that available with the 5 1/2' bed though, then being able to build your own (aftermarket) Lightning.

I've been looking into replacing my 2015 ECSB 6.2L/8L90e SLT Sierra with a new truck. Rumor is they're only putting the 6.2L in the crew cabs now. I don't need a minivan with a midget bed.

You can get the 6.2 in an extended or quad cab, but not standard cab. It appears to be tied to the trim level, not the cab size itself. They only offer the 6.2 or 3L turbo diesel with the upper trim levels - trail boss, LTZ, etc. Those upper trims aren't available on the std cab.

My challenge is I need to do something before year end to replace my current Yukon 4x4. I'm very interested in the new GMC Hummer, but that's still a year or more out. Ford Bronco is arriving too late. I like what I've seen of the new 2021 Yukon/Tahoes/Escalades, but concerned that their move to rear IRS and away from the G80 also killed any LSD/locker functions. Marketing shows an electronic LSD as an option(!, ?) which is kinda baffling even on a z71. Just seems like a lot of cool trucks on the horizon, but a bad time to be buying now.

Leaning towards a Sierra 4x4 with a 6.2L and catback... but really not looking forward to moving back to a pickup from Yukon.

And yes, pricing is crazy. Most of the Silverado/Sierra configs I'm interested in are pushing $50k. New Yukon is pushing $70k. Kinda depressing actually...

I'm talking about the 2021s. The 2020s still have the 6.2L in the ECSB. The rumor is that the upper trims are leaving the ECSB. I know everyone wants to buy a minivan with a bed these days but I don't want/need a minivan with a bed. I need a truck with a big motor, a trailer hitch, and brakes that put your teeth in a steering wheel.. Not a giant minivan with a soon-to-be-no-longer-big-motor-compared-to-everyone-else.

I've got a Crew Cab and the bed is surprisingly big. The bed length on my 2018 extended cab was 6'6". This one is 5' 8", not terrible.

The turbo 2.7L 4 banger how ever.... yikes.
