Picked this bad boy up tonight.

1986 Chrysler Conquest TSI
88k miles
5spd manual

This is the oldest car I've ever owned

There is some crazy sweet (not) camber on the front driver side so I definitely need to get that checked out asap. The tire was shooting sparks off of the cords on the way home. The car was originally red and was repainted a different red (NOT including the door jams :( ) some time along the way. The clear coat is shot and the car has been sitting for quite some time. It made the hour trip home without too many issues, we'll see what happens in the next few days as I'm taking shit apart and cleaning it up.

Plan of attack:
Fix the front suspension
Tune up
Rig up a radio antenna (stocker is damaged)
Clean EVERYTHING
Replace the stock stereo with an aftermarket cd player
Autometer boost gauge
Crank the boost up to 14psi :headbang:

Eventually:
Flat green primer paintjob
Intercooler hardpipes (w/ BOV)
Different wheels
Remove balance shafts
Marnal head swap w/ port and polish
Bigger turbo, probably around an HX40

More pictures to come as this bitch gets worked over.

Wow, you guys are responsive!

I may be altering my paint idea.

I just did a quick (5 min) photochop and I'm REALLY liking it.

Another one for fun, obviously unrealistic...

ls1 swap?

Nah, I'm keeping the 2.6 turbo. I already have enough "power" projects (vortech cobra and v8 zx2), this is a daily driver with some kick.

I picked it up because its 4cyl, turbo, manual, and rwd. Good gas mileage and fun in the winter :)

I got rid of the factory Karman Vortex meter and converted mine to a GM mass air meter. Ramchargers sold the converter unit to do it. You can adjust fuel with it as well. I also got rid of the smaller primary injector, and put in a larger secondary that I got from the scrapyard since I could tune it.
A 16G turbo and full exhaust made the car pretty fun.

They don't get the best mileage though. Expect just over 20 mpg.

If you DO want it to look like the 2nd chop. You know who to talk to.

Haha, NO THANKS. It looks awesome but I just don't have the funds for that.

Sounds like you got into it a little! With an MPI swap, people are seeing over 30mpg, with the TBI and keeping out of boost a couple buddies of mine were getting 26-28mpg.

I'm already on SQC and I've been lurking on kdm :) Thanks for the heads up on the rest

I'm reviving this thread.

The car has been sitting in my backyard without a motor since like January and its pissing me off. I've decided to keep it and drop a 302/c4 combo in it, fix the floors, and DD the piss out of it for winter.
