You are right, John. The best thing for me to do, really, is to just sell the car. But, sometimes a trade offer comes along that makes you go "hmmmm." That's all this is at this point. The BEST thing for me to do is just sell the car.

Under your particular set of circumstances, I'd have to consider this strictly a financial decision.
Whichever car has the highest resale value I would go for. If it were a decision based on usage?
I'd keep the notch if it were for solo trips or 1 passenger and go with the GN if I were going to pack
up the wife and kids with me for the day.

The thing about trades is that very rarely is someone trying to give equal value to benefit both parties. Someone is usually trying to get the better of the other. I don't see you being happy with this trade or any other. Keep the Mustang until it sells at a price you're happy with.
