With that game, I'm back to being BCS free. Unless we have another 2007 where we have multiple teams losing on a weekly basis, and I don't see that happening, the best MSU will do even if they win out including their BCS game, will be 3rd or 4th. Too many teams to pass. I can see Wisconsin & Ohio State being 6 & 7.

tough loss, swif....i really liked msu's chances during their final games.....just goes to show how things go in the big. iowa played great. i wonder which team will show up to play the buckeyes?????

How rediculous. Rosenberg at the Freep writes an article about MSU 'saving' their season. They play Minnesota, Purdue and Penn State. Even if they lost to PSU they'll be 10-2. That's better than anyone thought they'd be. If they win in Happy Valley, they go 11-1 and may go to the Rose Bowl. Save the season? Really??? All that game in Iowa meant was that they won't be National Champions this year. Maybe Rosenberg needs to go keep track of the practice time put in at his alma mater...

Msu is good this year but please don't use MSU and national championship game in same sentence .i could name 15 teams that would destroy them worse than Iowa, but they are having a fine season and should score a pretty good bowl if they dont fall apart .

I wasn't counting on a NC. I agree that if they somehow got into the game, Auburn, Oregon or Alabama would do what Iowa did. Maybe even Boise or TCU. That's 6 teams. Anyone else I think they could hang with. But the loss doesn't kill the season. Sparty On!

thats it lol just those 6 ,OSU ,Arkansas ,hell even Florida in down year,Nebraska ,Missouri, south Carolina,Oklahoma and thats off top of my head.,they would be double digit underdogs against all those teams.

It's OK, I disagree. I think they could beat the teams listed above. These teams are not that special. But unless we can get a playoff started this year, it's just conjecture.

I think OSU, Nebraska, SC, and Ok would clean MSU's clock. Florida isn't what they used to be and Ark and Miss are posers.

really beat south carolina, who beat bama if i remember correctly. But your correct playoff is a must.

I don't think Mizzou will fall that far. I'm thinking 12 & 14. Still pretty much eliminates both from the big game. Nebraska should be able to walk to the Big 12 North title.

Well, I was right about Mizzou. They are #14. MSU is #15 in one poll and #16 in another.

i hate the BCS and rankings they mean squat, utah number 5 lol auburn wins and gets jumped by oregon wtf.

Oregon beat a strong USC team on the road, auburn barely beat Ole Miss on the road, strength of schedule thats why Boise or TCU will need a miracle to be number 1 and Utah and TCU play this weekend so if bama wins this weekend I see the BCS being

1 auburn
2 oregon
3 bama

swap 1 and 2 to your liking
