Official 2010 Michigan State Football thread

MSU 26, Illinois 6

The Spartans jusy wore down Illinois. Just a good solid game. 7-0 for the first time since 1966. Bring on Northwestern!

With Nebraska doing nothing against the Longhorns, it looks like MSU may crack the Top 10 this week. It also means one less undefeated team.

With Nebraska and Ohio State losing today, MSU may actually be around #7 in the BCS. And with Auburn & LSU playing next week, MSU may be up to #6 (or better) when they play Iowa. Keeping my fingers crossed the next two weeks.

All I can say is WOW! I can't believe how far Ohio State and Nebraska fell in the polls. Michigan State is up to #8 in both polls. I was doing a lot of looking and couldn't find Michigan in either one.

LoL...With a 7-5 or 6-6...they won't be. Enjoying this year Sparty! FWIW...I think you will be Iowa. They didn't impress me vs. Michigan and are very beatable. I can't say I am a Spartan fan..but I would rather see a State of Michigan school win the Big Ten over OSU.

I actually think Michigan is better than they've shown. Take away the mistakes made by younger players and they very well could be 7-0. It's growing pains. The defense definitely needs to be addressed. But the offense does move the ball.

I'm happy with the way the Sparty's have played and thought they would play this way last year. Again, I think it's age and maturity.

And the BCS says...

1) Oklahoma
2) Oregon
3) Boise State
4) Auburn
5) TCU
6) LSU
7) Michigan State
8) Alabama
9) Utah
10) Ohio State
11) Missouri
12) Stanford
15) Iowa

The computers are looking highly upon Sparty.
7 Michigan State .7628 NR 8 1964 .6952 8 1037 .7031 4 4 12 4 3 3 4 .890
mostly 3s and 4s, I think the 12 actually gets thrown out in the calculation, right?
Starting the season unranked and the way the human polls work is hurting them. Oklahoma looked pretty awesome in the computers though, two 3 rankings and the rest are 1s. LSU has the other two 1s

Good thing is all state has to do is win this weekend to move up a spot as LSU and Auburn Play each other

state Could be sitting nice if LSU beats auburn because next week LSU plays bama so state could be #5

Oklahoma has 2 difficult games coming up in the next 3 weeks Texas a@m on the road and Texas Tech at home Boise well they have their usual gimme schedule Oregon Has USC on the Road Dare i say MSU vs Boise?

or they could lose and drop to 15 or 16th...(cause they will lose a game this season...we are talking about state right??)

Texas A&M, really? I think Oklahoma's only real worry is Oklahoma State and I don't think they play enough D to be a real threat.
