I agree, but I don't think there was any doubt MSU would have recovered the ball. Was that a fair catch signal or shielding eyes from the sun?

I never look at Northwestern as a 'gimmie' game. They've been a solid team for the last 15 years. NW & MSU play tight games every year.

I'm surprised at the fake punt only because everyone watching was expecting it. Even the announcers called it.
