New Z06 Issues

[95 Z/28 LT1]

Surprised this didn't get posted here. Apparently the new Z06 has significant heat soak issues.

Pretty disappointing... It's strange that GM would let the car go to production with an issue like this.

At the end of the day it is a street car, but you don't hear of this issue with the new Z/28. With no plans for another flagship car until the Zora, it's not clear why they didn't correct this and just up the price accordingly. People would have gladly paid it, and they wouldn't have all this internet chatter which will undoubtedly cost them sales and tarnish the image of what is otherwise the best Vette yet.

I'd like to see some more cars in people's hands and real world results in Mexico and on the tracks before making my mind up on this one.

I heard someone talked to GM at the PRI show and they claimed that after its broke in the PCM won't pull power

Though I've heard other cars were limited until they hit a certain amount of miles, but never found it to be true.

How do you explain Randy Pobst's 4 laps at Laguna Seca that got slower each successive one while picking up speed in the corners?

People have proven that it isn't an AIT issue which, is what you typically associate with heat soak.

I think the funniest part of the whole saga is that the guy at the center of it all, NineBall, was one of the founders of LS1tech and a huge GM/LSx fanboy until he sold the site to IB. Now Tony is on the Viper bandwagon and completely against the new Corvette.

Not sure what is driving people to call bs. Viper TAs trap 128-9 like ZR1s did, C7z is coming in around 126. Sooo, a car that traps 3 mph higher at the track won a roll race, not sure why so many are calling bs.
