Neat '80 Camaro Z28

Noticed this pristine Z28 on a book cover, looks like a 1980 model. Those cars weren't fast, but they looked like they were, lol.:icon_smil

Seems like all the detailing they did with colors and graphics has been lost with modern cars.

1980 Z28??

Who remembers Rogers?! :) These cars take a special eye to make them attractive, I think. These 3 so far are all on point. Maybe it's the white walls? Hahaha

I saw a black one, which had blue decals. The Z28 front grille badge was in purple, dark blue and light blue. So imaginative having that little badge in three shades. Such a shame all that attention to detail got lost over time. Now it's just big bling grilles on SUVs and cars, whatever cars that remain that is.

Black came with so many decal colors and yes they are awesome! lol

I worked at Genthe Chevrolet in 1980 and 1981 and I can remember driving these things around the dealer back lot ...
they were quick ... especially if the 3.42 gear option box was checked...
and they had ( optional ) flaps that would open on the hood scoop if you floored it ...
and they came in every color of the rainbow

My first F-body was a 1981 Z28. Man was that thing slow! :D I had just done body work on it and gotten it painted and some guy decided to drive in the wrong lane and sideswipe it about a month after I got it done. Thankfully he was from out of state and his insurance fully covered my damages because I only had PLPD on it. Worked out in the end!
