Project Pro Street 67 Camaro

Not really, I've been slacking big time. The car is actually pretty close too. I have to put the trans and converter in, put the headers on, and then wire the car front to back side to side. And button up a little interior, but mechanically it's like 90% done. So close, just got burnt out on it and took a break. Motor is in, fuel system is in, cooling system done, it's close. I'd like to make a pass still this year, we'll see!

No real new updates. It's close, but life has been in the way lately. Need to take it back to the chassis shop and have the driveshaft built, have the rear end squared up, scale the car, and finish the wiring. Was hoping to have it out this year, but winter is here now, so I'll take my time until spring. I did roll it out of the garage today to move some things around inside and sweep the floor.

Made a little more progress this weekend. Got the fuel system and cooling system all buttoned up, got new glass in it Saturday, and fired it up for and let it run on its own for the first time today. I do have a small little issue, hoping it's not serious, but glad to see it coming together.

Got my turd out today. Lots of little things to button up but first drive was a success. First time it's moved under its own power in years.

Haven't had much time to work on the camaro lately. At 26 my parents were starting to give me funny looks still living at home..so I bought my first house this year. Got a nice little farm house on just under 20 acres, with a 3 car garage. Ended up just putting up a pole barn to wrench in so that's taken up most of my time lately. I've had the camaro out a few times here and there but still have a few small issues to address before hitting the track. Hoping to make it out to milan in October, but we'll see.

The Camaro looks great and congrats on the new pole barn, er, house! Also, you are obviously very talented to accomplish what you have at a young age. You've got more stuff than most people have after a whole lifetime of working! Congrats on that as well!

Thanks for the kind words deformula!

Well it was fun having the car out a couple times over the summer, between working 7 days a week and trying to get my new shop up I haven't had much time to chase down little issues with the car, so I never did get it to the track. I've been fighting intermittent braking issues all summer, and the rear end is starting to make some noise. It's an olds 9.3 and probably 100 years old, the rear coil overs are pretty worn out, and to top the season off i split the bell on the th400, so this winter I plan to do some updating.

Goals for winter:

New Ford 9 inch rear and aluminum center section
Wilwood disc brakes on all 4 corners
New brake lines, master cylinder, line lock
New strange engineering coil overs on all 4 corners
Jw ultra bell on the trans
