My 70 Dodge Coronet twin turbo project

Got one more tube done tonight. Might have to re-do it. I might have boxed myself in on making the last one. Don't know yet. Thanks for the compliments everyone. I hope I'm not setting myself up for an epic fail if I can't make this work. I don't want to cut the car up to do it. I'm not into the project for a lot of money (yet), so we'll see.

why do i get the feeling thats gonna make a little bit more steam then last time.

I'd be happy if it does the same, just 2000 RPM lower. I hope if this all works I can tone the car down and lose the 4.56 gear and 8" converter and make peak power at 5500-6000 instead of 7500. I'll be bringing it back to your shop when (if) it's done!

Thats pretty sweet. Are you bending the tubing yourself or did you buy a bunch of pre-bent pieces?

I bought a Jegs brand weld up header kit and cut it up to make it work. I also had to get a couple more J bends, they should be here tomorrow. I might have made a mistake on one of the ones I just ordered. I got a 2 1/2" radius and I just realized they make a 2" one. I REALLY wish I knew that. I must've missed it when I was looking. Hopefully I can make it work. I want these done by the end of the weekend.

A little more progress from last night. Headers are mostly done, just gotta weld them solid and do the collectors. I had to change my plans a bit on turbo placement. The right one is gonna be down low under the alternator so I can run the exhaust out of it. The left header is a little closer to the master cylinder than I'd like, but hopefully the header wrap will keep the heat down. I'll probably make a heat shield also. I'm just chillin' tonight, I'm gonna hit it hard tomorrow and try to get more done. Spring's right around the corner!

that looks killer man! if you need flanges made, There is a guy i go through goes them local here (14/Mound) Did all the flanges for my turbo sled.

A little more progress. I had to re-do #3 tube, it was too close to the master cylinder. Hopefully this weekend I'll get them tig welded at my buddy's house so I can keep moving forward on this. I still have to cut down the 4 collector tubes as short as possible before I weld the collectors on, I'm running out of real estate pretty quick. Once the headers are done I'm gonna build the downpipes, then run the exhaust. After that it's on to the cold side.

Been pluggin away. Got the headers mostly done, just gotta weld on the collectors. Hopefully get that done over the weekend. I started on one down pipe just to see what kind of room I've got to work with. I'm not going to start on those until the headers are completely done. I need to clean my garage soon too. It's completely trashed.

Hey Neighbor.... Simply put "AWESOME"

Maybe I will see ya come spring after your hibernation!

Is that "Kong" I see in the background? What is up with that and why is it back in the Garage? You know you dont have time for that when you have a Twin Turbo project going on!
